"Wanna borrow my jacket?" Derlik offered, already moving to take it off and give it to Nix.

"Yeah, sure. Thanks." Nix pulled on the massive jacket and huddled closer to Derlik, purring softly.

Derlik made sure the jacket was nice and secure, kissing Nix's head.
"You're welcome, dearie~"

Nix turned his ears back when Derlik kissed him and fell quiet as he looked around, toying with the long sleeves of the jacket.

Derlik was somewhat glad Nix seemed to have calmed down, rubbing Nix's back as he walked.

"What are we having for dinner?" Nix asked after a while. "And is Miss Serna back yet?"

"Well I'm not sure what dinner is going to be," Derlik admitted. "But I don't think Serna is back yet."

"Hm… maybe she went to go visit a friend?" Nix shrugged a bit. "I feel like she would've left a note or something, though…"

"Perhaps she went to go see her girlfriend," Derlik agreed. "Maybe it was an emergency?"

"Yeah, maybe… I guess that makes sense. I wonder when she'll be back?" Nix hummed thoughtfully to himself.

"I'm not sure, but I'm sure she'll be back soon." Just maybe not next morning soon.

Nix nodded a bit and sighed. "Yeah… I was really hoping she'd be there, though…"

"I'm sure if she doesn't make it tomorrow she'll come by as quick as she can," the god said softly. "And I'll be with you the entire time."

"Okay… and you'll make sure Halm doesn't do anything?" He asked, fidgeting nervously with his hands.

"He won't be able to come anywhere near you," Derlik promised. He kissed Nix's head, holding the man close.

"Okay, thanks…" Nix huddled closer to Derlik with a soft sigh. "I wish we could just stay here…"

"I wish we could too, sweetie," Derlik said softly. He patted Nix's back once more, humming softly to help him stay calm.

Nix closed his eyes and just let Derlik hold him, trying his best to clear his mind again. "Let's… talk about something else."

"Okay," Derlik said softly, kissing Nix's head again. "What would you like to talk about..? Oh, I know! Sometime we should all go up to Earth together for a trip."

"Yeah, sure… I haven't seen a whole lot of earth, so I'm happy to go anywhere." He shrugged a bit.

"We could go for a picnic…" Derlik hummed, going back to being chipper to help Nix not feel so bad anymore.

"Yeah, that could be fun. We could… pack sandwiches, and fruit and stuff." Nix yawned and huddled closer to Derlik.

"Mhm… We could ask Serna to bring dessert. She'd probably make more of that than we would have actual food." Derlik chuckled softly at the thought, turning to start heading back when he heard Nix yawn.

"Yeah, probably. She's a pretty good cook, though." Nix purred softly, the tip of his tail twitching.

"She is," Derlik agreed. "Out of the five of us she's the only one who knows how, too." Derlik chuckled, smiling some.
