Serna nodded. She poured the food into the bowl, smiling.
"You're such a big help around the kitchen!" she praised.

"Thanks! Maybe I can help you cook more often…" Nix hummed thoughtfully as he picked up another empty bowl.

Serna filled the bowl, grinning.
"I'd love that!"

"What are we gonna make tomorrow, miss?" Nix asked curiously.

"Hm… how about noodles?" Serna smiled.

"Sounds good to me. Cas used to eat a lot of noodles when we were living on earth, so I think he likes them."

"Good. I'll make them from scratch, so they'll taste really good." Serna picked up two bowls, holding Nix in one arm and having him hold the other two bowls.

"Mmkay!" Nix held the bowls carefully so he wouldn't drop them and held them out to Cas and Zachary when they made it over to them.

Zachary accepted his bowl, smiling.
"Than you! It smells good!"

"No problem." Nix smiled gently, seeming to be in better spirits than before. "Thanks, Nix." Nix nodded a bit and huddled up against Serna again.

Serna smiled as well. She sat down at the other side of the table, setting the bowls down with Nix in her lap.
"You did great, Nix!"

Nix smiled again and started to eat, his tail twitching again. Cas smiled gently as he watched him, glad that he seemed to be doing better.

Serna started eating as well, content. She was glad Nix wasn't near as bad as he had been just a little while ago. Zachary smiled a little as well, resting his head on Cas a moment.

Nix soon finished his food and crawled back into Serna's lap, purring contentedly. Cas ate more slowly.

Serna had finished, so she wrapped her arms around Nix, rubbing his back. Zachary was able to eat on his own. He was still a bit messy, but he could use his own napkin.

Nix purred happily when Serna started petting him, his tail quivering a bit. He flattened his ears back against his head with a gentle smile.

Serna smiled slightly. She held Nix close, scratching his head lightly now.
"Shall we head to bed soon?"

Nix nodded a bit. "He usually gets kinda sleepy after he eats." Cas said softly, smiling as he huddled up against Zachary.

Serna nodded, smiling.
Ökay then, sweetie." She stood, putting their bowls away and carrying Nix to the bedroom. Zachary hummed faintly, kissing Cas's cheek.

Nix purred softly when Serna carried him off, his tail swaying a bit. He already had his eyes closed and seemed to be drowsy.

Serna patted Nix's back gently, smiling. She sat down with Nix, slipping under the covers with him.
"Good night," she said gently.

"G'night, miss Serna…" Nix cuddled close to Serna and yawned, only taking a few minutes to drift off to sleep.

Serna stayed up for a bit longer, thinking over who exactly she would invite. She rubbed Nix's back idly as he slept, eventually dozing off herself.

Cas returned to the puzzle after both he and Zachary had finished eating. "Ready to finish this up, love?"

Zachary nodded a bit, smiling softly. He set a couple pieces down, lightly kissing Cas's cheek.
