"They won't think you're weird," Serna promised. "It's what makes you comfortable, right? No one should say you're weird for liking what you like."
"They won't think you're weird," Serna promised. "It's what makes you comfortable, right? No one should say you're weird for liking what you like."
Nix nodded a bit and started toying with a lock of his hair, curling his tail up between his legs. "But… some people do. People made fun of Cas on earth because he's gay."
"Sweetie, if anyone made fun of you for being gay in this world, they'd be hypocrites. I'm gonna make sure no one shows up who'll make fun of you, I promise." Serna lightly placed her hand on Nix's head.
"Okay…" Nix leaned into Serna's hand and closed his eyes with a soft sigh, flattening his ears back against his head.
Serna gently scratched Nix's head, smiling faintly.
"Things will be okay…"
"Thank you, miss Serna… for everything…" Nix purred weakly at the petting, keeping his eyes closed for the time being.
Serna gave a soft smile.
"You're welcome, sugar." She smiled softly.
"What time is it?" Nix asked softly. "Should we go out and check on Cas and Zachary? They're probably still doing the puzzle…"
"It's nearly five," Serna confirmed. She stood, offering her arms to Nix.
"Yes, I think that would be a good idea. I'll make dinner too."
"Okay." Nix crawled up into Serna's arms and got himself comfortable, resting his head on the goddess's shoulder.
Serna held Nix gently, patting his back. She headed out of the bedroom, going to the kitchen to check on Zachary and Cas.
"How are you two doing?"
"Pretty good! We're almost done!" Cas smiled brightly and looked up, seeming a bit confused upon seeing Nix in a dress. Nix flushed a bit and looked away.
"Good!" Serna turned to Nix, offering a soft look.
"Nix has found an outfit he likes," Serna said to Cas. "What do you think? I think he looks good in it."
"You look great, Nix." Cas smiled gently. "I'm glad you found something you're comfortable in." Nix nodded a bit, still looking away nervously.
"It looks really good," Zachary chimed in. He smiled a bit, kissing Cas's cheek. Serna looked at Nix a moment.
"See? There's nothing to be worried about, Nix. You look great."
Cas happily returned the kiss and rested his head on Zachary's shoulder. Nix nodded weakly and started fidgeting again. "Mmkay…" "Really, Nix. You look great. It's good to see you in something that makes you happy." Nix quietly nodded again.
Serna patted Nix's head lightly. She gave a soft smile, wanting to help Nix see everything was okay. She knew he'd be hesitant.
Zachary smiled gently at Cas, arms going back around him with a soft hum.
Nix leaned into Serna's hand and sighed, curling his tail around the goddess's arm. After a few more seconds of watching Nix, Cas returned to the puzzle.
Serna scratched Nix's head lightly.
"Shall we make some dinner for everyone?" she asked gently. Zachary did the same, smiling slightly still.
"It is going really good," he complimented.
Nix nodded a bit and rested his head on Serna's shoulder. "Mm… what should we make?" He asked softly. Cas smiled brightly at the compliment and kissed Zachary's cheek before continuing again.
"I'm thinking some pasta might be nice," Serna said. She made her way over to the stove, working on getting some water to boil. Zachary rested his head on Cas's shoulder, grinning.
"Okay… what do you need me to do for you, miss?" He asked, glancing around the kitchen curiously.
"Well… here, you could help me stuff the ravioli." Serna smiled a bit.
Nix nodded a bit. "Alrighty. How do I do it?" He asked curiously. "I've never cooked anything before…"
"Well," Serna started. She gently placed Nix down so he was sitting on the edge of the counter.
"I have some filling I made earlier, so I'll show you!" She got the ingredients out, rolling out some pasta dough and cutting it.
"Okay, we're going to put a spoonful of this filling in the middle of the dough squares."
