"Do you know what time it is?" He asked softly as he looked up at Zachary.

Zachary looked around, pointing to the clock on the wall. It was almost eight thirty.

Cas nodded a bit. "Mm… what do you wanna do until it's time to go to bed?" He asked softly.

Zachary thought a moment, letting out a soft hum. Perhaps a dice game? He wasn't quiet sure what they could do together…

"Wanna go look for something?" Cas asked, kissing Zachary's cheek softly.

Zachary nodded. He pushed them away from the couch, humming faintly.

Cas huddled up in Zachary's lap with a happy hum, allowing the other to take the lead.

Zachary looked around a bit for something to do, kissing Cas's cheek lightly. This was hard to do, of course. He didn't know where anything was.
"Oh!" Zachary motioned a bit with his hands. A puzzle! That would be great for them to do together.

"Oh, yeah! Maybe we can ask miss Serna if she has any?" Cas looked over his shoulder curiously. "Miss Serna?"

Serna looked up when called, shifting a bit.
"Yes sugar?" She asked.

"Do you have any puzzles?" Cas asked, toying with his hair a bit. "Zachary and I thought we might do one…"

"Oh, yes! Here, I'll help you get them." Serna stood, holding Nix to her chest as she led Cas and Zachary into her room.

"Thanks!" Cas smiled softly as they followed Serna. "We thought it would be a good way to pass the time… how's Nix doing?"

Serna looked down at Nix a moment, patting his back.
"His fever hasn't come back, thankfully. He's a bit tired, though…" Serna moved to her closet, rummaging around the top shelf.
"How large of a puzzle do you want, sweetie?" She asked lightly.

"That's good…" Cas looked up at Nix worriedly, and then to Serna when he was addressed again. "Uhm… I'm not super good at them yet, so a smaller one would be good."

Serna nodded a bit, pulling out one of her smaller puzzles.
"Here," she said, having it over with a faint smile. She wrapped both arms around Nix again, humming.

"Thanks!" Cas smiled when Serna handed him the puzzle and kissed Zachary's cheek softly. "Alright, love… let's go do this." Nix yawned a bit and huddled closer to Serna in his sleep.

Zachary offered Serna a thankful look, taking Cas to the kitchen table to get started. Serna watched them go, lightly patting Nix's back before just laying down with him on the bed.

Cas poured out the puzzle pieces once they got to the table and started working on the puzzle. Nix tucked his head under Serna's chin with a weak purr.

Zachary wrapped his arms around Cas, humming faintly. He picked up a piece, managing to fit it with another without his hand jerking to much. He grinned to himself, content. Serna scratched Nix's head a moment, tucking them both under the blankets.

Cas hummed happily to himself as he worked on the puzzle with Zachary, a soft smile on his face. Nix nuzzled closer and gently bit Serna's hand before licking it, clearly still fast asleep.

Zachary lightly kissed Cas's head, glad to see Cas so happy today. Serna was a bit confused, but went with it. She smiled gently, closing her eyes.

Cas carefully connected two clusters of pieces, sticking his tongue out a bit in concentration. Nix nuzzled against Serna's hand as he yawned, curling his tail around himself again.

Zachary hummed a bit, resting his head on Cas's shoulder. He smiled, moving to place a couple pieces down. Serna rested her head on Nix's, smiling gently as she started to doze off. Everything had calmed down…

"Mm…" Cas examined a piece closely, taking a bit of time and some trial and error to figure out where it went. Nix was already out cold by now, and he relaxed further in Serna's arms.
