Zachary nodded slightly, silent. He kissed Cas's head gently, holding him so, so close.
Zachary nodded slightly, silent. He kissed Cas's head gently, holding him so, so close.
"I just want her to leave…" Cas whispered shakily. "Why's she even here? Why won't she just go home?"
"L- human," Zachary said softly, unable to say the man's name currently. "Hur-rt him, Serna has to… to fix him." Zachary shook his head. It was cruel, to both the man and Serna.
Cas sighed. "She hurt him and then brought him here to get fixed up? That's sick… but not unexpected from someone like her."
Zachary nodded slightly, arms securely holding Cas to himself.
"I… I'm sorry I didn't help…" he looked away in shame.
Cas shrugged and huddled closer. "You were scared too… she killed you, after all. I can't really fault you."
Zachary nuzzled Cas gently, kissing his head.
"S-still… What if she had-" Zachary cut himself off, just holding Cas closer.
Cas sighed shakily. "Don't worry about it, Zachary… there's nothing we can do about it now anyway…"
Zachary fell silent, nodding a bit. He rubbed Cas's back lightly, keeping a close hold on him.
"Hopefully miss Serna will kick her out soon… I don't wanna go back out until she's gone." Cas whispered.
Zachary nodded. He wasn't going to open the door for anyone but Serna.
"She'll… She'll be gone soon…"
"Okay…" Cas sighed shakily and rubbed at his eyes. "U-Um… you're speaking really well, Zachary…" He whispered. "You're doing great…"
Zachary hadn't even noticed, too focused on Cas. He let out a soft, shaky sigh.
"Y-yeah… I just want you to know what I'm saying…" He kissed Cas's head lightly.
Cas nodded a bit. "Have you been practicing on your own a bit?" He asked. "I-I mean, we aren't really apart too much, but sometimes you get a bit of alone time…"
Zachary nodded back.
"Serna has been helping me." He wanted to keep Cas distracted from who was out in the living room.
"That's good… it's nice to be able to properly talking to you." Cas smiled weakly and pressed a couple of gentle kisses to Zachary's lips.
Zachary gently kissed back, a very faint smile on his lips.
"It's a lot easier now…" He held Cas close, nuzzling him with his nose.
"Mhmm…" Cas buried his face in Zachary's shoulder and sighed shakily. His hair was still pretty damp from the bath.
Zachary gently ran his fingers through Cas's hair, slowly pulling the moisture away from Cas. He kissed Cas's head lightly, don't his best to work quickly to dry Cas off completely.
Cas whimpered quietly and huddled closer to Zachary when he felt the water. "I-I don't like it, love…"
"I know, sweetie. I'm getting it off." Zachary kissed Cas lightly, running his fingers through Cas's hair. He finally got all the water off, letting it evaluate into the air so Cas couldn't feel or see it.
"I've got you…"
Cas whimpered again, keeping his face buried in Zachary's shoulder. "I don't like the water… it's gonna kill me…"
Zachary ran his fingers through Cas's hair, this time a comforting gesture.
"I won't let anything hurt you," he said softly. "I won't let any water kill you again."
"O-Okay…" Cas sniffled a bit and hiccuped quietly. "W-Why would she…? It's… it's none of her business… why does she care?"
"She… She does what she wants to," Zachary explained softly. "She doesn't think she does anything wrong."
