Nix arched his back a bit with a loud, contented purr. "Mm~… that feels nice, master…" He murmured softly.

Halm smiled gently. He continued into the living room, sitting down with Nix in his lap. He continued scratching Nix's back, going further down.
"I'm glad," he said softly.

Nix shivered a bit and huddled closer to Halm, his tail flicking from side to side. "Mmmmmm~…" He purred a bit louder, grinning.

Halm's hand eventually started scratching right above Nix's tail. Cats liked that, right? He smiled, kissing Nix's forehead.

Nix flushed red, trembling again and exhaling shakily with a soft whine. A wave of heat washed over him and he turned his ears back, not quite sure what to do.

Halm glanced at Nix, pulling his hand away a moment. Was he..?
"You feel warm," he said quietly. Oh crap.

Nix shifted around uncomfortably, looking away from Halm. "I-I… um… am I sick?" He asked awkwardly.

"No, you're not sick," Halm started. He bit his lip a little. "It's something else…"

"Um… w-what is it, then?" Nix looked up at Halm meekly, keeping his ears flattened back on his head as he kept shuffling around, struggling to get comfortable.

Halm carefully slipped his hands under Nix's arms, lifting him up and setting him down on the couch.
"Well…"

Nix's eyes stung with tears when Halm moved him off of his lap, starting to tremble harder. "M-Master? I… did I do something wrong?" He asked shakily, his voice weak and airy.

Halm quickly cupped Nix's head in his hands, shaking his head.
"No, no baby you didn't do anything wrong." He gently rubbed Nix's cheek.

"That's just what happens after you do this." Halm gently kissed Nix's forehead. He laid back a bit on the couch, running Nix's head lightly and letting him lay on his chest.

Nix yawned again and rested his legs on either side of Halm's waist, relaxing in the god's grasp. "Can… can I sleep? Is that okay, master?" He asked.
