"That's what I thought." Oci groaned softly, rubbing his forehead. "So, I guess we have to do it. It's not going to be easy, that's for sure. Adrian lives in the next city over, and he's not very fond of me."

Oci frowned, not liking the idea of sending Marco in all by himself. But it was their best bet. "Okay, I'll support you from outside. And tell you a few things about Adrian that you should know–"
"Are you two done talking yet?" Rhees shouted from the living room. "I need an answer!"

"Yeah." Oci nodded and made his way back into the living room. "Yeah, we'll do it. Not like we got a choice, but we'll do it."
"Awesome. When you have the knife, just bring it back here. I'll find you." Rhees stood up and waved at them. "Good luck, boys." There was a flash of light, and Rhees was gone.
"Well, I guess it's strategy time." Oci sighed and ran a hand through his hair.

Marco nodded, "Yeah.. unfortunately…" he sighed, "Though now that' he's not watching us… if we're up to risking it we could run for it.."

"You think he wouldn't notice?" Oci asked, looking over at Marco. "There are rumors that he's actually a Moriart, not just in name. And who knows what reapers can do? I… I just don't want to risk it. They say crossing one of them is a death sentence." He looked down at his toes, slightly embarrassed.

"It was a good idea. With any other person, it would have worked. It just had to be him." Oci shook his head slightly and started towards his office. "Alright, then. I should have some records of Adrian in here, maybe a map or two. Is there anything you'd like to know right away?"

@StarryWolfy flash_onCrazy Procrastinator

"Does he have traps, animal allergies, a favourite animal, or pets? And does he know how to recognize shifters?" asked Marco in rapid fire, "Also any potential locations for the knife would help too."

@MarDeColores this is not it kids

"Hmm… Yes on the traps– all the doors leading in and out of the house, and one in the door to his office. That's probably where he'll keep the knife, too. If not there, then the knife will be in the basement, in his rare weapons collection. He doesn't like animals very much, so no pets, and as far as I know, no allergies." Oci took a deep breath. "I don't think he knows much about shifters. Oh, and one more thing– watch out for James. She's his right-hand woman. She has a natural-born magic control over metal. If you stay away from her, you should be fine."

@StarryWolfy flash_onCrazy Procrastinator

"Any chance she knows anything about shifters?" asked Marco, "Because if I can get in there as a mouse, and pass of my markings as a trick of the eye, then it'll be that much easier to pull this off.."

@MarDeColores this is not it kids

"I… don't really know. I try to keep away from her. She's kinda… how do I say this, crazy." Oci shrugged, his eyebrows creased in concentration. "I don't think so. There's not a lot of shifters in their part of the neighborhood, though. That might mean that people don't know how to recognize them, but the people that do will definitely notice. As long as you stay out of sight, you'll probably be fine."

"Ah…" Oci opened the door to the office and flicked on the light. "I think I have a rough sketch of one from a while back. It might be a second before I can find it, though." He crossed over to the desk and started sifting through the papers piled on top of it. The desk was the only place in the room that was even slightly messy, however. The rest of the room was clean and orderly, so much so, in fact, that it hardly looked used.

"Aha!" Oci triumphantly held up a few pages, then handed them to Marco. They were hand-drawn, but quite neat and easy to read. "So, that's the front door, there are the side doors, that's the staircase that leads upstairs where his office is. The next two pages should be second and basement level." Oci explained, pointing at the places he was describing.

(Sorry, was trying to take a bit of a break, and sort out a few things and get ready to transition into a new semester)
Marco nodded, studying the map quietly. Turning it so he could see it better he traced a few hallways, "Which entrances are covered on the outside?" he asked.

@MarDeColores this is not it kids

(Okay, you're good!)
"Uh… These, I think." Oci pointed to a few entrances. "This place is pretty old, though, so there are lots of holes and small cracks in the walls and stuff. Kinda like this place, except less well-cared for." He smirked.

@StarryWolfy flash_onCrazy Procrastinator

(I basically abandoned you for a week, that's not okay.)
Marco hummed softly, "Guess I'll have to do some scouting.." he said, "Do you know which walls are wood or stone?" he asked, wondering which areas might have decent sized holes for a mouse.

@MarDeColores this is not it kids

(I mean… yeah, but your life, in real life, is more important than this. If you ever need to take a break again, just tell me. :)
"Yeah, but if you do, be careful." Oci looked at Marco, concern clear in his eyes. "This will be hard, but even harder if they know you're coming. But… You can do it. You're amazing." He let out a breath, the last sentences more to comfort himself than to encourage Marco. "Well, most of the walls are stone– crumbling stone, mind you– but they did add on a sort of shed area to the back of the house, and it's made of wood. It's also newer than all the other structures, but knowing them, it's poorly built."

@StarryWolfy flash_onCrazy Procrastinator

(Yeah… I'm sorry for abandoning you like that.)
Marco smiled a little at his confidence, "I'll be careful, don't worry" he said softly, "How likely is the stone to shift if it were put under any pressure?"

@MarDeColores this is not it kids

"You'd better be careful," Oci said, his voice surprisingly fierce. "Otherwise, I'll have to kill you." A breathy laugh escaped from his lips, and Oci looked down at the ground. "Sorry… uh, I don't really know. I guess it would depend on how strong the stuff between the stones is." He looked back up at Marco, his cheeks a soft pink color.
