Thesa felt like an absolute idiot and her face clearly showed it as her cheeks flushed in embarrassment. "I'll get used to you not having to eat or sleep eventually, but until then, just ignore me when I ask something stupid like that."
Zev nodded. "Alright. Will do." He still looked a little confused by the fact that he had reacted that way.
She had heard his laugh and it surprised her, though she didn't being any attention to it as her eyes turned back to the movie and she settled back in.
Zev frowned slightly. Perhaps the programming? No, I did not put laughter in it…though it is a self-learning program… He wasn't sure what was happening.
(should we timeskip to the end of the movie or the end of the trip?)
(end of the trip, maybe. Want me to do it, or do you want to?)
(If you could do it that would be great, I'm swamped in work rn and it would be a while before I got it up :) I'm just going to say that Thesa fell asleep during the end of the movie and was tired enough that she hasn't woken up yet)
(alrighty. :) )
Zev walked to the cockpit as they arrived, looking at the planet that had swallowed up the viewscreen. He walked back to where Thesa had fallen asleep, tapping on her shoulder. "Thesa. We've arrived. I need you to land the ship. Or…whatever it is you usually do when you arrive here." he said, working to wake her up.
She didn't immediately respond to him, but eventually she did open one tired eye and nod. With a yawn, she sat up, knowing that she didn't have time to wake up slowly and instead she had to pilot and land her ship.
Zev stepped back, running calculations in his head. "What exactly are we going to do here?" he asked her slowly. "How long do you think this will take?"
"While we're here? I'm going to actually get some good repairs done to the ship, and I'm going to meet up with some acquaintances of mine to get some more jobs lined up," She said, already shaking away the sleepiness and sliding into her pilot chair to get them landed, "If everything goes well, maybe just a few days. If you help, maybe only three."
Zev nodded, following her and sitting down. "I see." he was still making small adjustments to his programming, head cocked slightly to one side as they came down towards the planet. "Of course I'll help, so long as you let me."
Thesa nodded, flipping a few switches and watching out the window carefully, "Sounds good, now, could I ask you to leave? Or at least stay quiet? I need to concentrate fully."
Zev nodded, and went completely silent. Inhumanly so, though he continued to function normally. He watched out the window, but didn't say a word.
It was as if a switch had flipped in her mind and she was fully concentrated and awake, hands settling into their places over the controls as she made her way towards the planet.
Zev was completely silent, watching her. He was excited to see a new planet. He…hadn't though he could be excited.
She stayed silent until they got closer to the planet, when she pressed several buttons and then started talking to someone on the other end of the line, listing off the ship number, passenger count, reason for landing and several other things. Only once she got a response back did she start to descend through the atmosphere in landing.
Zev remained silent, though he leaned forward a little bit to get a better look at the planet as they descended. It was a good sized planet, the continents dotted with the occasional large, sprawling city. It fit what he knew of Horath. It was either uninhabited, or a giant city. It didn't have suburbs or rural areas, it was either wild, or a city.
She piloted towards one of the bigger cities on the planet, seeming to know where she was going as she started humming softly. "You might want to hold onto something while we land," she said, glancing over at him as they descended and the cities came into more focus.
Zev nodded, reaching out and holding on. "Okay." He kept looking out the front window, absorbing the sights and storing them in his brain. It had been so long since he had seen anything other than the stars.
For the next the minutes or so, she continued piloting the ship, still humming away as they reached a wide landing pad ontop of one of the buildings and she touched the ship down. "Welcome to Horath," She declared with a smile, looking over at her Android companion with a proud smile, "What do you think so far?"
"I think it's the most beautiful thing I've seen in a while. Then again, it's the first thing I've seen in a while that isn't a ship or the stars. I thought the same thing of you when we first met." He replied, looking over at her with the faintest traces of a smile hanging at the edges of his lips.
Her cheeks gained a slight pink flush and she cleared her throat, looking up at Zev and trying to play off the comment, "Thank you Zev, now let's get to business."
Zev nodded, not seeming to register that his words didn't mean the same thing to her as it did to him. "Right. What do you need me to do?"
"Just follow me and act as human as possible, please?" She stood up and walked to the door of her ship, motioning for him to follow as she opened the door and jumped down to the roof of the building in time to watch a small group of professional people start across the roof towards her ship.
