After the bloodshed in the darkened alleyway of borderline downtown, the two villains escaped together into the night, seemingly fleeing the scene with no evidence left behind. They worked well together; one doing the killing while the other took care of all traces of their presence.
Eventually, they ended up on the rooftop of a relatively tall building, catching a breather after running away from the officials for so long. They looked over the edge, seeing the police cars slowly drive away. After a long sigh, ‘Cyanide’ sat down on the rooftop and started breathing quite heavily. Agility wasn’t his best trait and wasn’t at all something he’d been good at.
“T-That… that was too close for comfort,” Anthony had spoken.
“Indeed it was…” the other nocturnal villain replied, looking at the darkened streets with his deadpanned eyes.
(I. Admit. Nothing.)
Remi had been casually following the police cruisers on her beaten up motorcycle until she spotted the two villains disappearing. Ooh, I can catch them off guard~… She smirked a bit as she quietly brought her motorcycle to the side of the road and parked it. Her bated breath clouded in front of her, more due to her freezing internal temperature than to the weather outside. It was actually quite a pleasant night in her opinion. She smoothed down her 'hero garb' and formed some temporary ice steps on the side of the building. She stepped up them as quietly as she could and then crept up behind the two men. "Caught you!" She exclaimed once she was right up behind them, wrapping one arm around each of their necks in an almost friendly, uncomfortable manner. "I've heard what you've been up to~…" She murmured. "Been naughty, haven't we?"
The two villains looked between each other, their eyes widened before they both looked up at Remi.
“Let. Go.” Cassius spoke with an almost growling tone, hesitating whether he should use his ability on her or not. If he did, though, he feared that he might push her off the building as the ledge wasn’t exactly high enough for it to be safe. His eyes shifted around almost anxiously… and it would seem like his partner in crime was feeling the same.
“What do you want to do now? Arrest us?” Anthony said in an almost unfazed tone though his facial expression showed otherwise.
"Well, I dunno… depends on what you did. There are ways to convince me to not throw you in the slammer, you know. Oh, and I could." She pulled both men closer to herself instead of letting go, holding their heads on her shoulders. "I could easily freeze both of you up and be on my merry way. Hell, I could kill you almost effortlessly. Human beings have an awful lot of water in them, you know, and well… ice expands, darlings. All I'd have to do is freeze up all that lovely water and you'd be goners… that kind of power is positively intoxicating." She let it an almost inaudible, breathy moan as she thought aloud. "Oh, but it would be such a shame to kill off two lovely specimens such as yourselves, wouldn't you think?"
(Not a page in, and I love Remi already XD)
The two of them both narrowed their eyes at her.
“Explain what you mean by ‘specimens’, Hielo,” Cassius spoke with an almost unsure tone. He hadn’t read much about Remi and how she worked so he didn’t really know what to expect from her when she said ‘specimens’. It could be a variety of things but… he couldn’t be sure.
The other villain was dreading his decision of coming up here on the rooftop where escape was quite… ridiculous. He sighed softly and looked around as if looking for an alternative escape other than rushing down the staircase and jumping off the rooftop.
“But if you need an answer, we just killed a thief who just stole some gems. The treasury’s are still there,” ‘Cyanide’ answered in a somewhat defeated tone. He knew well that his ability wasn’t exactly useful on a heroine like Hielo.
(She's a horny bastard and I'm having fun lol)
"Oh, I don't mean much by it, dearie… you two are fine specimens of man if you know what I mean." She winked and held them tighter, almost choking them at this point. "Oh, Dr. Gentleman… how I hope you live up to your name. And Cyanide… well, I wouldn't mind a little bit of intoxication." She smiled slyly, her ghostly pale cheeks gaining a flush as she continued on. "So, what's it going to be, boys? What will you offer me in return for not having to deal with the horrors of prison?"
(Okay, we aren’t doing smut yet— hold on— XD)
Cassius’ eyes widened with surprise as his cheeks turned a slightly reddened color.
“Wh- No.” He used all the force he had left to force himself out of Remi’s grasp, pulling his partner out of the heroine’s hold as well.
“How is one even able to ask for something like that from someone they have just met in person… ridiculous—“ the doctor murmured before jumping backwards and standing some distances away from Remi. The other villain soon followed him, both were looking at the heroine.
(I know, I know lol)
Remi rolled her eyes a bit and ran her fingers through her hair with a swift 'hmph!'. "You two are weaker than I thought… I suppose that could be fun. And I never explicitly asked for anything, you know. You've just got a dirty mind~" She teased, lowering her eyelids a bit as she examined the two men. "You're fun, you know that? Not at all like they think you are. You're much… how do I say this… hmm…" She considered for a few seconds. "You see… they're all scared of you. But you're actually pretty weak. Especially when it comes to conversation. Your parents gave you the talk, didn't they?"
(Good! XD)
The doctor flinched at the words a bit, his face turning away as it showed a clear blush.
“Shut up…” he let out softly but loud enough for Remi to hear. He turned to look at Anthony, only to find that his partner in crime wasn’t there.
“I’m done— I’ll see you again at some point, but I’m done!” He spoke before he jumped down from the ledge, free falling down onto the ground. Just before he reached the ground, he released a chemical which corroded the ground somewhat, softening it enough at he could land on it without hurting too much. It hurt just a bit to him and soon, he ran off into the night.
Cassius swallowed quickly when he realized that he was now alone with a potential threat. He wasn’t afraid of the officials, not even afraid of prison, but he was afraid of Remi for some reason. Well… maybe afraid wasn’t the right word but he just wasn’t comfortable around her…
"Ta ta, darling~" Remi waved to Anthony for a moment before turning back to Cassius and drinking in his expression. She reveled in his fear. It felt so good for people to quiver in her presence, especially 'big bad villains' such as these two. "Scared, are we? Nervous? Uncomfortable, maybe?" She moved closer to the man, her hands firmly placed on her hips. "Oh, come now… you're a big strong man, aren't you?" She trailed her fingers up his arm. "Surely you can deal with me? Why, I'm hardly a threat to you if your really tried. Or am I? You see, as the 'hero', I'm not really allowed to use the full extent of my powers to kill people the way you two do, so… what's it like?" She asked. "Is it exhilarating? Is it like a drug to you? Drunk with the power of knowing that you hold others lives in your hands…" She moaned softly again, pretending to swoon for emphasis. "I have to admit I'm a little jealous, darling."
The doctor swallowed again, his cheeks burning just from her being so close to her.
“I… I suppose the murdering is… how shall I put this… addictive. Well, not really. I kill other criminals and heroes who aren’t as heroic as they seem, willingly taking on the title of ‘villain’ just for the sake of it. I know it’s stupid on my part…” he averted his eyes from her “…and more so that I’m saying this to you.” He didn’t try to fight back against her touch. Albeit, he would appreciate it more if she hadn’t been so close.
"Mm… sometimes I have to wonder how fun it is to be a villain. The people only like the heroes, though…" She sighed softly and toyed with her hair again. "Such a shame, isn't it? When you've got powers, you have to choose. Hero, or villain. You aren't allowed to just… live a normal life. Not that I'd ever dream of living a normal life, of course, but it is such a drag with everyone counting on me to fix all their little problems every hour of the day. I bet you get to do what you want. You don't have to worry about the silly people, do you?"
Listening to her speech, he shook his head softly.
“No. Not at all,” he replied. “Like I said, I don’t kill people out of pure spite. It isn’t in my interest to kill, let alone hurt, people who are innocent. Otherwise I wouldn’t have taken medical as my route of studies… the name ‘Dr.’ didn’t come to me in a dream or anything after all,” he laughed softly, looking down at her. Okay… maybe he was starting to feel a bit more comfortable around her. She should consider herself lucky that he wasn’t one of those villains whose intentions involve money and kill counts, otherwise she might not have had this conversation ever.
"People are so boring, don't you think?" Remi asked, disregarding most of what Cassius had said. She was mostly monologueing at this point anyway, so she wasn't paying too much attention to him. She twirled her fingers as she paced, causing little snowflakes to drift down to the ground in her general vicinity. "They don't even pay me all that much, but it's not like I can get any other job because people would recognize me and that would be a pain in the butoochie, y'know?" She shook her head disapprovingly and put her hands on her hips again. "What a world we live in. You know, they should appreciate me more. What if I decided I didn't feel like doing this anymore, huh? Absolute havoc. Whole city would burn down within the week, I assure you. Maybe I can go on strike until they start paying me properly…"
It annoyed him slightly that she wasn’t quite listening to what he had said but he didn’t have the capacity to care either. He sighed and shook his head.
“Why are you even here, Hielo?” He finally asked after they’ve been talking for a bit. To be fair, that was probably what was on his mind the most. Why was she talking to a wanted criminal like him?
"What's it to you, dollface?" Remi asked, finally turning back to the man with a mildly annoyed expression. She wasn't really annoyed with him, however. "I'm an adult. I can do what I want and who I want. And talk to people if I feel so inclined. What, have you grown so accustomed to having no friends that the very notion of having a real conversation with anyone has become preposterous to you? Because that's pretty pathetic." She snickered a bit to herself.
“I’m not. Pathetic.” He spoke immediately, a bit angry at her at she had called him such a word. Sure… it was vaguely true what she had said, especially the part where she spoke of how lonely he had been.
“I just wanted to know what’s your purpose of talking to someone like me? I’m not an interesting person or whatever so why bother talking to me? You must have a reason and I want to know what it is.”
"Well, I happen to think you're very interesting, doctor." She crooned, moving closer again. "But hey, that's just my opinion, isn't it? If you're insistent on thinking of yourself as a boring, lonely, pathetic loser, then who am I to judge? It's not like I can stop you. We're not friends or anything. We don't know each other's real names or really much of anything about each other. Isn't it kinda sad?"
(stalking this. so good already.)
Cassius was a bit weirded out by her choice of words, which… made his cheeks redden more somewhat.
“A-Are you implying you want to know more about me…? How can I trust someone like you?” If he was being honest with himself, he didn’t mind sharing some info about himself with Remi but he wanted to make sure that she was trustworthy enough.
(Why thank you)
