Moloch nodded, scrawling another line in his book. "Ilya said you'd prefer softer fabrics, will you be happy if I stick to those?"
Moloch nodded, scrawling another line in his book. "Ilya said you'd prefer softer fabrics, will you be happy if I stick to those?"
"Sounds good to me." Nathaniel leaned against Ilya, his arms folded loosely over his body.
Ilya slung an arm across his shoulders as Moloch nodded and closed his journal. "That's all I need, thank you for your business. Your clothes will arrive in three days, have a nice afternoon!" Ilya repeated the sentiment, smiling at him as he left the changing room.
"Cool… we did the thing. Let's go home and take some more pain meds, yaaay…" Nathaniel pumped his fist weakly in the air and let Ilya help him up. "Are we using horse things again?"
Ilya laughed, ruffling his hair and easing him out of the shop. "Yes! They're such helpful little things. If you want me to teach you how to use them, I can tell you the words to use."
"Sure, but maybe another time… I'll just let you call them for now." Nathaniel got back onto the whispy horse and rode it home with Ilya.
They dismounted and it dissipated into the woods, a few of the lights bonking into trees before fading from view. Ilya helped Nathaniel inside, leaving him on the couch while he grabbed the painkillers. "How do you feel?"
"Eh… I've been worse… I'll still accept the painkillers, though." Nathaniel swallowed the pills and stared at the ceiling.
"Yeah, your ribs seem like they're doing better. You might even sleep all night tonight." Ilya made a mental note to stock up on painkillers, he was almost out.
"Maybe, yeah. I just have to remember to take meds before bed or I absolutely won't." Nathaniel ran his fingers through his hair, sighing.
"Oh yeah, we've been bad at remembering to do that. Oh! I'm sorry about being up so late last night, by the way! I didn't mean to stay out so late, I just forgot that I had a guest so I stayed out as late as I normally do."
"No problem… it's not your fault I woke up." Nathaniel yawned a bit. "Anything else you wanna do today?"
"Well you could probably use a nap," Ilya teased gently, helping Nathaniel to his feet. "Let's head to bed."
"I don't wannaaaa…" Nathaniel whined, letting Ilya drag him away. He flopped down on the bed when they got there.
Ilya laughed, sitting down on the bed beside him. "Are you sure? You've had a long morning."
Nathaniel stuck his tongue out and closed his eyes, hugging Ilya.
Ilya hugged him back, leaning down to kiss him on the forehead. "C'mon baby. It's time for your nap."
"I'm not a baby…" Nonetheless, Nathaniel sighed and drifted off to sleep. He seemed comfortable in Ilya's arms.
Ilya smiled down at him, tucking him under the covers and making sure he was settled comfortably. He sat beside Nathaniel for a while, eventually growing bored and heading out to the garden to finish off the weeds in his rosebush.
Nathaniel slept for a couple hours before waking up again. Dammit… I must've fallen asleep. He sat up and yawned, rubbing at his eyes.
Ilya was still out in the garden, covered in dirt from head to toe as he finally finished weeding the flower beds.
Nathaniel got up and went outside, figuring that was where Ilya would be. "Hey…"
"Hi Nathaniel!" Ilya turned to him with a sunny smile, gathering him up in a dusty hug. "How did you sleep?"
"Good…" Nathaniel yawned again and hugged Ilya back. "What have you been doing?"
"Weeding the garden!" Ilya released Nathaniel, pressing a kiss to his forehead and leading him inside. "I finally pulled a huge root system out of the roses, they'll be much happier now. And I got to trim the begonias!"
