Thinking about my horse, Halo.
She broke her leg earlier this week and needed emergency surgery. So far things have gone well, but there's still a chance that she might not be able to jump again and might need to be retired. And honestly I'm so heartbroken just thinking about that as a possibility. I'll know more at the end of the week, but right now I keep thinking about the worst case scenario and I'll do whatever is best for her, but I'm just not ready to say goodbye to her.
Oh my goodness, I’m so sorry, that’s horrible. I can’t imagine the kind of stress that must have caused, for both you and her. Praying that everything turns out all right 🙏🏻
I want halloween now please
pretty please I want it
Thinking about how Bowser's theme songs make me 29x more productive when it comes to writing
The correct answer to "would you rather be poor and in love or rich in a loveless marriage" is "in love, obviously" but I think I'd much rather be financially secure. Being in a loveless marriage doesn't mean you HAVE to be unhappy. You can just go about your business and do other things that make you happy that don't have to do with them. They can just be a roommate with tax benefits. You don't even have to have an open marriage. You can be single and happy and financially stable and have a roommate. That's just what it is. Marriage is fake
I mean. Solid ngl.
Cept for the marriage is fake which is mildly confusing. But yeah not all marriage needs to be based on romantic love

Marriage is just a thing the government made up
Marriage was invented by the first cultures shortly after humanity started its thing. It differed based on time and place but it’s been a thing since the beginning for economic stability, raising of children, personal gain both political and emotional, and to build a cultural structure.
Marriage was invented
It's just a thing that people were like "hey what if it was harder for the person I'm in a relationship with to abandon me?" and their governments were like "yeah okay that sounds cool also what would you say if it cost a whole bunch to get married in a whole bunch of years and then we can build society around it even though it's not at all necessary and is just a useless thing we came up with, you're cool with that right"
Just realizing how transphobic Linn's college is for "running out" of gender inclusive housing?? That's a huge trans rights issue. They wouldn't run out or limit men's or women's housing. Don't have room for your trans students? FUCKING MAKE SOME. Also the way they made you apply? Do you have to justify your cis gender when applying for men's or women's housing?
Man if it were me I would not be calm about this. I'm not a boy or a girl. Don't PUT ME with boys or girls, for their sake and mine. It's embarrassing and I'm sorry you have to go through that Linn. I hope your roommate is chill.
Yeah, colleges are really bad about housing for non cis individuals and it's really upsetting.
My school doesnt even have gender inclusive housing, but there are several student orgs rallying behind it.
But the way they put trans students with their gender assigned at birth is pretty gross.
I remember freshman year at my college all freshman dorms were separated into boys and girls, even by hallway or floor. And there were a few trans students, who all had to live together in a separate (supposedly very haunted) room on the top floor, isolated from the other students. Sounds crazy, but I literally saw it for myself because one of my friends lived up there.
Basically from then on out you end up having to find other queers with the same gender assigned at birth as you and it sucks so much.
Anyway, hard agree on the transphobia there. You don't simply "run out" of inclusive housing. Fuck you.
That sucks. Colleges need to get with it on so many levels.
I'd rather live in a haunted area than completely out of place gender wise too tho

But government entered into it pretty recently iirc? And costing money was even more recently? Licenses were only invented when interracial American marriages started
People have been staying together for life/long time bc it’s pretty beneficial
Exfundie tiktok is maybe one of the most comforting places

You said it, I didn't. Although you're right. I have told my roommate that I prefer [insert gender neutral name here] and I've put that and my pronouns on my job thingy. Gonna try to set up an appointment with someone to officially come out on all the school stuff and give the staff my preferred name. Which'll be hard because I get my id while my parents are still there
But you know, I can mostly be socially out and that's pretty okay, at least to start
That's a good plan. I hope there's an LGBTQ group on campus too that can help you with that.
I leave tomorrow and I finish English tonight. I come home on Friday and only work 1 day the following week. I'm PUMPED
Hot take: restricting alcohol sales on Sundays is a really dumb and outdated law. You can try to excuse it with public health reasons to keep said laws around, but it's really a purely religious motive behind it.
Like listen. I just wanted some wine to have a glass with dinner tonight/cook with.
my roommate seems to be an e-girl, which I'm hoping means she's not homophobic
did you tell her about being nonbinary? and did she take that well? (just wondering, you absolutely don't have to tell us, or if you already did and i missed it then i'm a dumbass)
No, I'm gonna wait on that until later or until she asks
it's very clear that neither of us want to keep talking, but she keeps asking questions
ma'am I know you don't care about what my favorite tv show is, you don't have to keep being polite
Great, now she wants to know why I don't like loud noises. Do I leave out the trauma and just say anxiety or should I go for a double whammy?
What reaction do you want

Yeah u right. Any law that just exists based on specific religions should be deleted
