@The-N-U-T-Cracker

i want to be one of those weirdos who dresses up all the time in big floaty things and bright colors but there just isn't anything for my body type so my entire wardrobe is cargo shorts and gray tees

@ElderGod-Icefire

I'd love to use men's clothing, it just fits so much better, but. I'm afraid of what my mom would say if I wanted to use men's clothes. Because she's so very anti-LGBTQ, so the very idea that I might want to wear men's clothing, even though I'm not trans or anything of the sort? she would fucking explode, probably. So I'm stuck with shitty girls clothing that is designed for people who are skinnier, with bigger boobs than me, who are taller

I know where you are coming from, and it is the exact same thing for me, my mom is the same, but what I ended up doing was pulling out a couple of shirts from the men's section and showed her and she said that she like them and I tried them in and they fit really well and I told her that they were men's and after a couple minutes of telling her that these fit better and make me feel better, she ended up coming around and buying them. While she might not be the happiest about me wearing men's clothes, she can see a difference on how I hold myself and I genuinely feel better, so try just talking to her about how it is your body and how those clothes make you feel comfortable, and if you have to barter and buy some clothes you aren't as comfortable with, then take those small wins when you can. that's how it started off for me. And if you need to talk about it, you can always message me

Ah that seems like it might work, yeah! Next time I go shopping with her, maybe I'll try that out. Thanks, Queen!

@berlioz

Oof Icefire I get that, my parents (mostly my mom) and I have had arguments about gender and clothing. They're very traditional that way, and have given me the "you aren't allowed to be trans" talk. I'm not, but yeah my parents are the same way. They're pretty ok with it now, just awkward, and a bit smug.

@croccin-champagne

yall over here talking about buying men's clothes and I'm over here too curvy to wear them. my ass could never. my tits would ruin the shirts. and I'd rather not wear things that are literally swamping me just so that I can fit

but men's shoes lemme tell you

I heard that a girl in my grade got pregnant from a teacher, and the teacher resigned a few months into the job, basically saying the rumors were true
