But the man got away from the crime scene

So they called the police

But the police had to stock up on donuts

So the guy and his daughter that we seem to have forgotten about got away and moved to Canada

But the man met a woman there.

So they fell in love because that's what happens in stories, you have to add the forced romantic subplot

But the woman already had a girlfriend

So things became extremely awkward

"But I was in love with you!" He cried in protest.

So she backed away slowly seeing as he already had a child who was extremely confused

But the child had imploded on itself due to a sugar high

So it became awkward again.

But the man broke the silence with a loud song

So everyone's eardrums exploded (or wished they could explode)

But the man was still alive

So everyone around planned to kill him

But they didnt because the donut patrol found and arrested them all

So they all lived happily ever after in prison.
