I heard a loud crack from the side of the road and what sounded like wood hitting rock. Sounds like some of the old guard rails have finally given way

i’m not completely sure how I can gauge the distance between myself and the edge of the road

although, if I remember correctly the edge of the road only goes in the woods.

Throw something? I know if you were going to jump off of something it falls about roughly 8.56 feet per second. So idk if it works for distance?
