OH i love storms
I need a good storm to roll around. Windy season is ending, and that's the last chance for a good one before fall.
I'm considering shaving all my hair off because floof is a lot of work
work that I do not enjoy doing

I didn't know until now that I needed to be called gravity's bitch

tone it. that's how you keep the green shade away
Eris, I'm sure you'll be happy to know that I had a dream about your characters last night. Brent and Cassia were there, and I think I was supposed to be Declan/Iona but I certainly didn't feel like them.
Brent was trying to force himself on Cassia, and when I intervened he got so pissed off that he ripped off his costume to reveal he was actually a 40-year-old gross man. So Cassia and I ran away into a mansion and booby-trapped the place very similar to how Kevin McCallister does in Home Alone. He still managed to get through though, so we ran out the back into a shed that was a lot bigger on the inside, and took refuge inside of the bathroom until someone recognized us. Then Old Man Brent came storming in and I attempted to fight him, which led to me being flung into a sink.
And then I woke up.
So this is now canon.
…… you called?
I definitely can help. I can give you brand suggestions if you want to do it at home. I definitely suggest bleaching it or lightening it first unless you have Jack Frost hair. Otherwise its just not going to come out the color you want and its going to fade much quicker.
I also have some tips for making your dye last as long as possible after its done.Hmm. I would rather not bleach it, so how would I lighten it without bleaching it? Just any tips would be great :)
Uhhhhhh if I'm being honest I forgot how to do that, but Eris has done it successfully, so she can tell you how if she doesn't mind
I use a color lift instead of a bleach. I've tried so many different types but I love the Ion brand.
Its salon quality and doesnt do '''''as much''''' damage to your hair as bleach would–but I mean come on you are using chemicals to rip your natural color out. There is still a fair amount of your hair being displeased. I usually immediately do a 24 hour hair mask treatment after lifting to maintain the health of my hair. It's also a good idea not to immediately dye after you bleach/lift. Give your hair time to rest and adjust.
You can find some really good deep condition hair treatments at Target. My brand that I will forever plug is Hask. You want to make sure to use a treatment with keratin or coconut oil in it. The longer you leave it in, the better your hair will feel.

It really is
Blue can be really hard to maintain if you don't do it right.
If you're going to go blue, I recommend a lighter shade at first. That way you can see how your hair fades out.
It could be like mine where it fades 'naturally' into a lighter color and you get a cool ombre effect (Mine when from purple to magenta to rose gold to pink back to blonde) or you can end up like those sad egirls on tiktok where it's patchy and…..rather unfortunate.
Before you go wild–go light.
That's my go to saying with trying out new colors.
Ma'am I could not handle that, I have a heart attack when someone more popular than me acknowledges my existence yes Eva I did freak out when Nenia Campbell liked one of my updates and yes I freaked out when she responded to a comment and no I'm not okay. I haven't even read any of her books yet

Thanks for the advice, Eris! Still in the early stages of considering what to do, so it's great that y'all can give me advice about this. Thank you!!
