English.
English.
I think I already guessed that. Anything else?
I don't take the time to learn other languages. I'm too busy training my mind and body.
BESIDES ENGLISH!!!
How many do you know, Midnight?
Languages train your mind. I only know English and a lot of Japanese.
I want to learn Korean too.
So far me, my best friend, my girlfriend, and her best friend, are all engaged in this routine. We've been training our minds and bodies rigorously for three straight weeks. It gets crazy.
Cool. I've been learning French, I want to become fluent and live there for awhile. Then I'll probably move on to Japanese as well. I want to travel the world and learn many languages, that would be my ideal.
I know they do but I train my body and mind together for a bonus effect.
What kind of mind-training do you guys do?
I love to train my body, but training my mind is something I love too. I stumbled across Japanese and I knew I loved the language. I love the country and want to move there when I am old enough to leave my house.
@Masterkey Magnifique mon cheri.
Merci, merci
My mind training and body training go together.
As for mind training, simply I’m a nerd and study math and science in my free time sometimes. Also, because I’m a serious runner and running is something you must train your mind to do as well, I am training my mind when I go on a run, which is often.
So you would say that the mind training is simply mental stamina? Besides the math flashcards?
Like shuriken some of my mind training goes with my body training.
A lot of it is @Masterkey
Btw, Shuriken, how old were you when you started working out?
I have a friend who's about to take the two and a half hour exam for his second degree black belt in tae kwon do. He said it's mostly a mental game.
Yes, In martial arts you use your mind as well as your body.
Usually I do as follows…
Handstand pushups with complex mathematical flashcards
(5 sets of 15 reps)
Put on an episode of Cosmos with Neil deGrass Tyson and do as many sit-ups as possible within the span of one episode.
(1 episode)
Sparring and debate at the same time.
(3 rounds of 3 minutes)
Pullups while reading a line of Dantean poetry with each rep.
(1 Canto)
Running backwards while counting each step as it's taken.
(3 laps)
Study anything for an hour.
Random exercise for an hour.
Weighted pushup plank while reading.
(3 minutes, 45 lbs)
Weighted abdominal plank while doing mathematics
(5 minutes, 45 lbs)
How old was I?
Really young, like 5, but I mostly did calisthenics, hand weights, cardio, and sparring, as well as functional training, now I do a lot more.
Who do you debate with?
