Good for you.
My best workout was a while ago while I was camping.
First thing I did, was like 18+ miles of running, jumping, climbing and crawling on paths of rough terrain. Then I did a few miles of swimming after that. Then, I did a couple hours of wood splitting, got two 5-gallon buckets of water from the river a few times as well. After that I did like an hour of tree-punching since I'd gotten bored, also there was no punching bag, but mostly because I wanted to keep that pump going. Then I dug the rain trench since the weather was looking bad and we didn't want the tents to flood. And I volunteered to help our friends, who had just gotten there unload their stuff. And my favorite part was when I was pushing the ATV up the hill, and my fat dog got on it.
All in all, it was an active ass day. Plus, I had an extra confidence boost from watching a DBZ matathon that day. (Thank goodness we had service!!!)
I mean I run Cross Country, so I try to run 5-10 miles a day and work out every weekend in like an actual gym ^-^
Good! That's awesome.
@"Oakie Dokie"
I also run cross country. Track season is about to start at my school and I'm going to join.
Cool.
@MidnightWarrior13 AHHHH you'll love it >w< it's still winter here ours is in fall
I've already been in track before and I loved it :)
I remember going to Fresno to see an actual boxing match. Hell, I helped build the ring! And I have a few other boxer friend s who do it as a hobby but are in actual matches and taught by coaches. And I'm on their level. Not because I'm the same kind of guy, but because I was taught by a coach who taught professional boxers. Not the good ones, but average ones.
Other than that, I don't do academic sports.
I know I'm a little late, but first, I did swimming for like 9 years or something, but I stopped, I don't know why. Lost interest, I think. I do archery as of now, which requires me to head over to the gym in order to be in shape, which is cool I guess.
I do the occasional easy workout when I remember, but I'm on my school's JV volleyball team and I've started private lessons with the varsity coach so, yeah. XD
That's cool!
Hey guys, I'm sorry I was gone for so long, but I saw that my convo was up here again and it reminded me of what I've been doing for the past three weeks, of course, as of now I'm deciding if I want to continue. It's strange, eh? Sorry I haven't been on, but as of last week it got super intense!
Its alright, Shuriken.
Thanks homes! I'm thinking of continuing this new regimen of mine, but I'll get on whenever possible!
Ok. Sounds good.
Yeah.
Wow shuriken you're freaking hardcore. I did an 18 mile hike in the Adirondacks with my dad for my 16th birthday, and I love running Spartan Races, but I could not have kept going after all that! JEEZ LOUISE.
I basically don't like working out for the sake of working out. I want to accomplish something while I do it. I go on runs and do pilates, but I'd rather not (though I like seeing my progress even in that). I LOVE hiking and running Spartan Races and playing sports and just being able to help people move or work at a job that's really taxing or just be able to defend myself. So if I'm ever doing a "routine," it's because I'm preparing for those things. Otherwise, I hate workout routines and I've never gone to a gym, really. Outdoors, please.
Also, I've ALWAYS wanted to do martial arts! IT SEEMS LIKE SO MUCH FUN. I just don't know if I have the money for classes…
Oh right, and I love rock climbing. I considered just living in an RV and traveling the world to climb when I was younger. XD
Yeah, I don't work out for the sake of working out either. I do it to increase my physical functionality, to be able to defend myself, to become more physically powerful because it's awesome, and for aesthetics.
Working out just to work out is pointless though!
I mean, I do weightlifting, calisthenics, cardio, martial arts, unique exercises, and lots of climbing, swimming, and sparring.
I am mostly inspired to work out because Goku is my idol, I grew up watching DBZ and stuff. But I also try exercises like holding a static pose for hours, or just making everyday things a workout.
cough humble brag cough
But seriously, that's awesome
Are you still open to DMing me about my short story btw? I tried it again but it still isn't working when I type in your name for some reason.
