I love the Psalms, I read a few everyday (through a Jewish traditional reading plan). I kinda pray through them, since I'm really bad at praying. They really teach me about the nature of God.

Going along with that, everyone please give me your best prayer tips. I wanna get closer to God, but like. When I pray I feel like I'm talking to nothing. Then I find myself having to imagine God to make God more accessible, which just puts God in a box. I know God is accesible and I have the Holy Spirit to communicate with, but I'm feeling no real connection. Halp.

Be alone. Find quiet. Listen. No- more than listen. Make your mind quiet as you can to focus on what you’re saying to God. And don’t make it a list of requests. Add as much thankfulness in there as you can without really forcing it.
No professional and I have my own issues. But hopefully that helps.

I love that, too, bc He was literally God and if He had wanted to the physical body of Jesus to be the most aesthetically pleasing thing to ever exist, He had more than enough power to do so. And tbh from everything I've read, God in His spiritual form is so beautiful that I'd die if I saw Him, so you can imagine it would've been more than easy for Him to make Himself as beautiful as He wanted as Jesus— but instead He kinda just chose to be this regular guy, nothing exceptional in appearance and stuff, and I think that says a lot about God's nature.
