Yes but Lunos is actually a pretty emotional person but he can't deal with it, and is always told to not care so much, so he kind of shuts off and is, at the time of the story, really cold and unemotional to distance himself

Oh also I broke my own heart yesterday so you have to suffer too, buckle up:
Another species of the southern region (I have 2 ideas for it I'll go over those later) are siren like lava creatures.
Now, during the trip to the south Lunos only broke down once, the time with Terimane. But he's always still been distant, even more so now.
But while they're temporarly stopping and gong through supllies/talking to the magmaids or whatnot, they focus on themselves and no one is looking out for where the others are, until Lunos breaks the silence, quietly.
"Y-you can't be…"
Everyone turns. They can't see what he's doing, because the sirens just look like a weird glowing light to them.
"Really?" A slightly relieved laugh.
"Lunos, who are you talking to?" Lunos ignores them.
"[Name of his brother], I've missed you so much…" Lunos voice is really shaky but he sounds, for once, happy.
The magmamermaid realizes what he is doing. She yells att the group to stop him, not explaining why. They rush to stop him, because he's walking closer to the lava. He keeps talking to the thing, as in a trance. People start pulling his arms, but he tries to shake them off, telling them to stop.
He's asking for advice and teling it things. Taramy is screaming at it. It flimmers. Lunos start to yell at the group, because they're 'hurting him'
They keep pulling Lunos backwards but the mermaid tackles the siren and pull them both down into the lava, Lunos attempts to jump after and Terimane catches his sleeve.
"WAIT! I CAN'T LOSE YOU AGAIN, PLEASE!"
In pure anger and impulse, he suddenly turns around and slices Terimane across the face with the weapon he has at the time.
They all let go and back up to check on Terimane.
Lunos is screaming and crying so much he can barely speak but he keeps telling them they "Made him go away" or "Hurt him", and everyone is just sitting down, looking at him from behind Terimine, who's holding her face. They can't respond to this.
It takes him like, 50 minutes to calm down and let them explain.
But when he finally quiets, Geranium just sofly goes "Again?"

How about he just ignores her and starts apologizing to Terimane and she says it's okay and he just looks annoyed and say "Of course it is" and they get confused and he goes on this rant and accidentally reveals what his actual motives for joining them were.
"Of course it's okay, everything is okay! One of you could die and it would be okay!
The only thing I've caused you is problems and harm, yet you keep stringing me along for some reason and you're just so nice,you just keep up your facade of caring and-"
"We actually care Lunos"
"I know! I know you care, I just wish you didn't! You're supposed to be horrible, it's supposed to be easy! Why can't you just HATE ME?!
"Hate you? We would never hate you…"
"STOP RUBBING IT IN MY FACE!"
And as they try and talk to him he just refuses to answer for the rest of the night, and just stares teary-eyed into the lava where the magmaid and the siren jumped in (And haven't come up from yet)
AND THEN LUNOS IS HAUNTED BY HALLICANTIONS FOR THE REST OF THE TIMEEEEEE
