Logan walked in, the bell ringing loudly. Dang He looked around to see if there were others there. He heard the faint rustling of wrappers down an aisle and knew there were other people. Maybe survivors? Logan walked as quietly as he could to the source of the wrapper sound when a loud shot was heard around him. He looked around to see where the shot came from and saw a girl holding a shotgun. Is she crazy??
Rune noticed something walk in, so she pointed her gun in its direction. She noticed it was the same man from earlier. "You!?!"
Logan looked at the girl, recognizing her from the group earlier. He tried to stay calm. "Are you crazy! That gunshot probably alerted every zombie in the area that we're here! What were you thinking!" He walked towards her. "And please, put that gun down. I'm on your side. Us against the world, eh?" Logan looked at the girl, trying to get her to see that he wasn't dangerous.
Rune's mouth dropped. "I forgot about the zombies!?!?!," She looked towards the other side of the store and ducked down.
Damien let out a small scream at the sound of a gun, clutching his granola bar-filled backpack and hiding behind one of the shelves. He saw two people he didn't know, another male and a girl with a shotgun.
Rune pointed the gun at the "Zombies"
Logan looked behind him when he heard a scream. There are more people?! He looked around bewildered, before seeing two guys. He was about to get up when he heard noises at the windows and doors. The zombies… They already knew that they were all here. "Come on! We gotta go! Escape! Hurry!" he gestured wildly for the three others to make their way to the exit, but the exit was already surrounded. "Okay we're gonna have to fight. Kid, please tell me you know how to use that gun." he said to the girl. "And you two-" he turned to look at the two males. "-please tell me you have some weapon."
"Kid?" she glared at Logan. "I'm 18!" she huffed
Logan sighed. "Don't take it personally, kid. I'm 18, too. But when the apocalypse comes to your front door, you grow up pretty quick. But tell me you know how to aim. Please." he only had one small knife with him that he barely knew how to use. It would only be good for close combat, which was something Logan wanted to avoid.
"Well, I'm Solstice." Sol looked at the girl as she sheathed her sword once more.
"Of course I do, and if you call me kid again I'm aiming for your head." she sighed How the hell would he know what I went through?
"Well then, aim for me after the zombies, please. Cause we-" he said pointing to the zombies. "-have company." Logan looked at the other two males. "Aren't you guys gonna at least get up?" he said.
"Sorry for trying to shoot you guys but, you should have been more cautious of other survivors. I thought you two were zombies."
"I….I have a pistol." Damien said finally, still shocked about meeting so many people. "I don't really know how to shoot though."
Sebastian had kind of frozen. Another close brush with death, and he wasn't liking it.
"I… I can shoot, I think, but I don't have a gun," Sebastian said, "So if I may?"
Rune gripped her shotgun. “Then let’s go.” She turned grabbed her bag a bit annoyed. If no one else came here I could’ve gotten one of the cars and getting supplies would’ve been easier!
Damien handed his gun to Sebastian, aware that his hands were shaking. He wasn't entirely sure why he was trusting these people. Maybe it was because he hadn't seen a non-infected human in weeks. "Yeah…let's go…"
"Thanks," Sebastian said before making sure he got some food in his bag and checking to see that the gun was loaded and had the safety on for now.
"Where we going?" he asked.
Rune shrugged, "Doesn't matter right now, as long as we get shelter. They're faster at night."
Rune reloaded her shotgun. "Time to put these undead losers back in the ground," Her solemn eyes were replaced with ones that showed guilt and regret. "Let's go."
(oh my gosh i seem to have lost my child and i don't know where he went! I'll just yeet him back in here)
Logan watched, defeatedly, as the group parted ways. For once, he felt a little hope in survival, but that was shortly lived. He made his way to the store but saw a few zombies lurking there and fled quickly. Logan scanned the area before making the decision to walk towards an old gas station. Maybe there'd be supplies that he actually needed. But then again, Logan just about needed anything.
"Can I come with you?" Promise's eyes lit up with excitement.

"Yeah, sure." he said, nonchalantly. They both made their way to the convenience store and were stuck inside with Rune, Damien, and Sebastian. As it turned out, Rune was actually pretty good at giving orders. Logan made sure that everyone else was ready to go as they tried to get out of danger.
"Is everyone prepared?" Rune looked back at the bunch. She tore off some shelves for her and the others so they had cover in case they got too close to one of the infected
"Honestly, I'm as prepared as one could be," Sebastian replied, crouching behind the shelves, poised to fight.
"Better than nothing," Rune said opening the front door.
