"Um… Do you guys need my help still or no?" Promise said awkwardly.

Sol huffed and looked for a canvas bag of some sort when she found one she dumped her findings in there and grabbed a bit more food, a small lighter, a hairbrush(Hers broke bc she threw it at a zombie), and two pocket knives.

Rune was still grumbling over the fact she was losing the argument.

The alley was a dead end. Repere turned into an open doorway and cut through the building onto another street. He stopped to listen. The freaks were way too silent for their numbers, he thought, and he couldn't tell where they were anymore. His foot tapped on the ground nervously. To stay and wait or to continue his search for radio batteries? The freaks could be creeping up on him as he was thinking. But they could have found the cure by now. That's stupid. Neither of those are likely. Rep lifted his head to scan again, still humming in a high tone.

"If we're just gonna stand here, I'll kidnap Mr. Cute and go to the library." Promise started toward the door, grabbing Logan's wrist.

"See ya, bitches." Sol muttered slinging the bag over her shoulder and started to walk out, "Hope to not see you again."

"Don't forget about the zombies smart one," Rune pointed at the door eyeing Promise.

"Oh. I'm planning to capture one." Promise pulled zip-ties and a knife from her pocket and drew a Medusa pistol from her hoodie.

Logan looked at Promise questionably. "Be careful about that, okay? Getting one could prove useful, but we need to stay alive."

Sol walked out and ran home muttering about the group of people, "Mr. Cute? What a weird girl that one was. The boy or Mr. Cute, whoever he is was uh I don't know, he didn't talk much just seemed like he liked everyone and wanted to group up, that other quiet girl was okay though."

"What is your name? You know mine, only fair I knew yours." Rune looked over at promise and the one she calls cute.

Sebastian clicked the safety back on and pointed the gun at the floor.
"Well, it's starting to get dark. We might not make it back in time at this rate."

"Pfft. You've only seen my nerd side." Promise's eyes glowed with determination.

Logan blushed a little. He hadn't properly introduced himself, now had he? "Well I don't know if you're talking to me or not but I'm Logan."

"Nice to meet you, Logan," Rune gave a rough smile and turned to the door. "Well if we want out we gotta fight, and I'm not letting any of you boneheads die."

Sol walked inside and plopped down in her chair.

Rune took the safety off her shotgun.

Logan watched Rune as she took the safety off. He didn't have a great experience with guns and was wary of them. But when zombies attack, he knew that guns were the best choice. And the only one.

"Closest place is my house, you can stay there for the night but no snooping or stealing." Rune kicked the door open. "Alright you undead fuckers, time to put you back in the ground."

From Sol's house, she could hear a distant shooting, "Must be those gas station people."

"Okay, Logan, let's go get a computer!" Promise threw open the door and strode out. After firing a few times at some zombies, she ran toward the library, Logan in tow.

Logan couldn't help but to smile at Promise's outburst. She seemed sweet, but definitely knew how to handle a gun. "Okay!"

Rune exhaled. “That sure was a workout.”
