“Are you alone?” Eira’s sharp eyes scanned the room quickly, taking a cursory glance for signs of other people.
“Are you alone?” Eira’s sharp eyes scanned the room quickly, taking a cursory glance for signs of other people.
"Yes, I live by myself ever since my friend died." Sol sighed
“Sorry for your loss.” Eira replied, a bit quieter now.
"Absolutely not. Kid- sorry Rune, you're not sacrificing yourself. There's no way that I'm letting you go. We might be all that's left. At least let me go with you." Logan protested.
Sol stayed quiet and watched out the window.
"No! I'm going you guys are leaving!" Rune objected.
Eira turned her attention back towards the window as well, hoping she could leave soon.
"If you don't want all of humanity to end then you would let me go!" Rune reached for the door handle.
Logan reached for the handle, his hand connecting with Rune's. "I'm not going to stop you from going. But I'm going with you."
Rune looked at him. "Why?" Why is this so important to you?"
"Don't die out there Logan." Promise smiled wryly.
Sebastian stood behind Logan and Rune.
“I’m going too.”
He clicked the safety off.
“N-No! Neither of you are!” Rune stated. She didn’t understand why they wanted to go, why they wanted to risk their lives.
"I'd go with you, but I'm not much of a fighter. Plus my glasses will fall off and then I'll die 'cuz I can't see." Promise said seriously.
Solstice sighed, “Would you like anything to eat or drink?”
“Good! I don’t want ANY of you to come,”
"I don't think your defiance is going to change Mr. Cute here's mind." Promise said matter-of-factly.
“I don’t care what they want! I won’t allow Mr. Cute and Mr. WantsDeath to die because they wanna do the right thing!” By now Rune was getting annoyed. Why won’t they drop it
“Honey, you would be an idiot to go alone. There’s safety in numbers,” Sebastian pushed, “I’m armed and I’m raring to help fight our way out of here.”
“I don’t want help and I don’t care what happens to me, however I don’t want anyone dying to help me,” Rune huffed
Solstice sighed, “Would you like anything to eat or drink?”
“Don’t bother trying to poison me.” Eira shot back, her muscles tense. “I’ve met your type before. I’m not going through that again.”
“Doubt,” Sebastian said, “They could still be lurking, with our luck.”
He peered outside.
“It’s best we’re careful.”
“I’m not the kind of person to do that,” Sol said and looked outside, “The zombies are gone,”
Eira went up to the window to take a better look. Seeing that Sol was correct, she hefted up her spear and headed for the door without another word.
“Can we just go with my plan as not change it?” Rune pleaded
