Adar laughed. "I sure hope so! I'd rather not go through that again." He said with a smile.
Ava pursed her lips when she heard what happened the first time.
Nyt pat Ava on the shoulder. "Try not think about it. It will go better, and even if something did go wrong, we have friends in the camp to help us out with these things." She explained.
Abby nodded, agreeing with her friends. ”Yeah, we know a lot of people who can help us. There's Caleb, Peter, Mark, my uncle Toby… and no one messes with him.” she smiled as she talked about her family. ”I honestly don't think that he even has a bad side.”
"He's smart too. He knew about us before we even knew about us." Nyt said as she nudged Abby. "Remember the camera incident."
Ava had a confused look on her face but didn't question anything.
“Oh, God.” Abby laughed lightly as her face reddened. ”I never thought about if he…” she shook her head. ”I wasn't even sure if I felt that way about you and you think he knew…”
"Well, we were sharing sleeping in the same bed, you were cared about me; which you didn't do with many people, I'm pretty sure I had my tail wrapped around you at several different points, and we said you were living at my house." Nyt ticked off the reasons on her fingers. "I don't see why he wouldn't assume we were together." She shrugged.
Abby nodded. ”Yeah, that's true. I guess I just never thought how it looked from an outside perspective before.” she admitted, realizing how much of a relationship they had already had. She looked over at Adar and Ava. ”Where we really that obvious?”
"Just about as Caleb and I were." Adar teased. "And I think you know how obvious that was."
Ava smiled in confusion. "Umm, obvious? You are always clinging to each other, and Nyt is always calling you nicknames."
Abby blushed with a smile as they confirmed her suspicion. ”And it took up to Nyt calling me ”love” for the first time for me to realize how I felt.” she admitted softly, though she was sure they all heard her. ”No wonder Uncle Toby liked you so quick when I introduced you.”
Nyt laughed. "You always talked about how obvious Adar and Caleb were, but we were just as bad, or worse!" She teased. "Obvious to everyone except us." She booped the tip of Abby's nose with the tip of her tail.
Abby squealed a little as Nyt’s tail approached her face, even though her mask still covered her nose. ”Yeah… I feel like that’s how it happens almost all the time.” she nodded before looking over at Adar again. ”Speaking of obvious… When can we go on a double date with you and Caleb?” she smirked, teasingly.
Adar's ears flushed grey. "That's up to Caleb. He's…I don't think he's embarrassed, but he's not as comfortable expressing it around others." He explained.
"Sounds like a certain someone." Nyt teased as she bent down to look at Abby better.
Abby shook her head and avoided meeting Nyt’s stare. ”Must be a human thing.” she said attempting to be dismissive despite her bright blush. ”Maybe he’ll be more comfortable knowing that we’re finally together.” she shrugged.
Nyt stood back up straight. "Maybe. I'd hope so!" She said with a smile.
Adar chuckled. "I'm not sure. I think Caleb is just nervous about being in a relationship. He says it's his first relationship."
”That’s true.” Abby nodded in acknowledgment. ”Honestly, this is my first relationship too.” she admitted, her blush growing slowly.
Nyt's ears stood straight up and went slightly gray. "I'm your first relationship? But you seem so…natural at it." She said.
Ava smiled and shook her head at the lovesick Sylvians. "How long will it be till we reach the camp?" Ava asked.
”Well, you make it so easy… and I'm very comfortable around you, Nyt.” Abby smiled at her girlfriend before turning to Ava. ”We should be getting pretty close by now. It's actually just over that hill.” she assured pointing out the hill in front of them.
Nyt practically had hearts in her eyes as she looked at her girlfriend. "I love you so much!" She whispered.
Abby turned a bright red when she heard Nyt’s comment. “I love you too, sweetheart.” she smiled softly back.
Nyt giggled. "Am I allowed to show affection at the camp, or do we still need to be 'friends'?" She asked. She didn't sound like she was guilt tripping or begging Abby, but more of an actual question.
”Depends on who's around.” Abby admitted, running her fingers through her hair. ”If he already knew… then we should be able to do that around Uncle Toby and Caleb, obviously… Umm, maybe Peter and Mark too… but I'm not sure how too many others will handle it.” she said a little embarrassed.
Nyt nodded. "Alright, sweetheart. Imagine the look on Mr. Myers if he knew though." She said, nudging Abby with a smile.
”Oh, no… We definitely can't let him find out.” Abby shook her head fiercely. ”He… That would be a disaster. He’d try to find a way to turn the camp against us because of our relationship.”
Nyt laughed. "Don't worry! I won't let him find out." She said, wrapping her tail around Abby's hand.
"Who's Mr. Myers?" Ava asked as she opened up to a page in her notebook to make notes if needed.
Abby smiled softly and gently held Nyt’s tail. ”Thank you. If it wasn't for the mask, I’d probably kiss you right now.” she sighed a little before answering Ava. ”Myers is a member of the council at the camp… and he’s a jerk. He really doesn't like Slyvians… to put it nicely.”
Ava scribbled down in her note's to not mess with Myers.
Nyt's ear layed down a bit. "But I can kiss you." She said as she bent down and pecked Abby on the cheek. "Is that better?"
