Nyt smiled and rested her head on Abby's shoulder as they listened to the councilman give a speech. "We should visit the camp soon, to see how everyone is adjusting." She whispered. "We haven't been there since the peace has been established and I want to make sure they can get adjusted properly."
Abby nodded, smiling up at her. ”Yeah. It'll be nice to see Uncle Toby again. He’ll be happy to see you again too.” she whispered back, leaning against her as the speech continued.
Nyt nodded. "We can do that tomorrow if you want." She whispered as the councilman finished up his speech. Nyt started to clap as others joined in.
”Sounds good.” Abby agreed, standing up straight as she applauded with the rest of the crowd.
(Do you want to do a time skip here?)
(That's fine with me if you want to.)
(Got it! Who should start?)
(Well, technically it's your turn to reply… So if you want to write it, I'm cool with that.)
(Got it!)
Nyt was cleaning up after breakfast when she heard the door bell ring. "I'll get it. It's probably Ava and Adar." She said as she headed to the door.
Nyt had invited Ava to join them in visiting the camp, as she wanted to interact with human's more and Nyt thought it would a good opportunity.
”Ok. I can't wait.” Abby nodded, calming down a little from the knock as she ran her fingers through her hair. Honestly, she was a little nervous, not about Adar and Ava… just going to the camp. It would be easy enough to avoid Myers and his grumbling but how many other people still listened to his prejudice? Even with the Slyvians doing so much to help them? Things had been going very well towards building peace, yet that conversation with Peter the other day had made Abby worry.
Nyt brought Ava and Adar into the room. "Are you ready to go?" Nyt asked Abby as Ava pestered Adar. "I'm ready when you are, sweet."
Nyt brought Ava and Adar into the room. "Are you ready to go?" Nyt asked Abby as Ava pestered Adar. "I'm ready when you are, sweet."
Abby blushed at the epithet but smiled and joined the group by the door. ”I’m ready, kitty cat.” she said, adjusting her mask a little before pulling it over her face.
Nyt smiled as she lifted Abby up. "Alright, we can go now." She said with a smile as she held Abby like a teddy bear.
Abby smiled at her girlfriend and wrapped her arms around her. ”Ok. I’m ready.” she nodded. ”This is going to be fun.”
(I've forgetten how both Adar and Ava so give me a moment to go back and read and bit.)
Nyt chuckled. "I hope so, love." She smiled.
Adar swung his head around the corner to stare at the couple. "Are you two done? Ava look's like she's going to kneel over if we don't get going soon." He said with a smile. "She's shaking with anticipation."
Abby's blush darkened at being called ”love” again but she was getting used to it, as she smiled and buried her face against Nyt’s neck.
When she heard Adar call out to them, she chuckled at his description of Ava. ”I’m ready. Just hanging around until Nyt starts walking.” she joked, swinging her feet in the air a little to show her point.
Adar laughed. "Well come on, Nyt. Caleb already went ahead to tell the camp we were coming." He explained.
Nyt nodded. She walked into the living room, where Ava was. Adar had explained how Ava looked pretty well. Her tail was swaying back and forth rapidly, she was fiddling with pages of a notebook, and had the widest smile on her face. "Are you ready, Ava?" Nyt asked.
Ava looked up at Abby and Nyt and smiled. "Beyond ready! I've been waiting for this my entire life!"
The blonde smirked, wanting to tease Adar about missing Caleb but held back for now. ”Well, let's not keep you waiting any longer.” Abby grinned at Ava before nodding a little towards the book in her hands. ”What’s that for?” she asked curiously.
"Its for notes. I want to take note of how many people there are, and various thing I observe." Ava said with a smile.
Adar chuckled. "Alright, let's start our hike. Nyt, you should probably put down Abby."
Nyt pouted, but set Abby down. "Alright Abby, lead the way."
Abby nodded at Ava’s answer, still interested in what she might write. She sighed, a little disappointed by Adar’s suggestion but didn't say anything. ”Yeah, let's go.” she nodded and held Nyt’s hand as she started leading the group. ”I bet it's changed a bit since we were last there.”
Nyt smiled as she took Abby's hand. "I bet it has. Hopefully they'll be less aggressive. I really don't want a repeat of last time." She said with a chuckle.
Ava raised an eyebrow. "What excactly happened last time?"
Abby nodded with a little laugh at the memory. ”Me and Caleb took these two to a council meeting at the camp and were almost immediately surrounded with weapons.” she admitted. ”Don’t worry, Ava. Considering how much progress we've made with building peace, you're first visit should go a lot smoother.”
