"Peter. Knock it off. I don't think they are and if they are its none of your business." Caleb snapped.
Nyt pointed her tail at Peter. "Her plans are none of your business." Nyt hissed.
"Peter. Knock it off. I don't think they are and if they are its none of your business." Caleb snapped.
Nyt pointed her tail at Peter. "Her plans are none of your business." Nyt hissed.
”It’s ok, Nyt. Peter was just teasing, this time.” Abby tried to calm her while subtly signaling that Peter was a dead man. ”But that is kinda what Mark meant when he said you had a thing for me.” She just couldn't get rid of her blush.
Peter narrowed his eyes slightly at Nyt. ”I’m only asking as a concerned friend. I’ve known Abby a lot longer than you have.” He fiddled with his mask as if considering removing it. ”Abby, don't misunderstand, I kinda admire what you think you're trying to do but this is suicide. No one is going to believe that they would ever want peace with us. And even if you somehow managed to convince a group of people, other humans would prosecute you. You understand that? Other humans would hate you, say you turned your back on us, call you a traitor. They may even try to kill you.”
Nyt looked up at Peter and glared at him. "Abby can make her own choices. She can do what she wants. Whatever she chooses to do I will support, short of killing me." She said taking a step closer to Peter. "She has a plan."
"You know Abby, Peter." Caleb said. "She does what she feels is right and if she feels this is right then I'm fine with it."
”Of course I know all of that. I just don't want to see her get killed over it.” Peter defended against both Caleb and the Alien. ”And I'm not asking her to kill anyone. Abby wouldn't kill anything, except in self-defense.”
Now that Abby wasn't being held for the moment, she went to grab some bandages for Nyt’s arm. Nyt may have been a bit generous when she said she had a plan. She had a goal for certain but, how to do it? These first meetings weren't going well so far. ”I’m not going to give up.” She muttered, before going back into the room. ”Nyt, come and sit down so I can get a good look at that cut.”
Nyt looked back at Abby before sighing and sitting down. "I'm fine really Abby,"
Caleb looked at Nyt's arm. "Who did it?" He asked.
Abby gave a half-smile as she started cleaning the cut. ”Just like I was when we first met.” She chuckled at Nyt’s attitude. Hearing Caleb’s question she sighed, ”It had to be Peter since Mark was the one trying to ”rescue” me.”
Peter scoffed, ”Throw a guy under the bus why don't ya. Anyways, we’ve been over this. We thought you were about to die and she wrapped her tail around my throat! I ain't expecting an apology since I did attack first but I'm not sorry for what I did trying to save a friend.”
"But she didn't need saving!" Nyt prostested. "And I tried to take you down with out harm first."
Mark crossed his arm. "All we saw was you in a Aliens grasp. We thought it was going to kill you. What else were we suposed to think?" Mark asked.
Abby sighed not having an argument for either side. In a way, they were both right. Currently no human would ever think that Abby couldn't be in anything but danger from Nyt. Now that her arm was treated and wrapped, she reached to touch Nyt’s ear, hoping to keep her from worrying. ”I don't approve of what they did, but I can't fault their motives either. Right now, I'm the only human that really knows you. Knows you won't hurt me.” she sighed. ”Humans can be a very stubborn and selfish species; unwilling to change even when they need to in order to survive. So none of this will be easy. I knew that the moment I chose to stay with you. But I'm not going to give up on making peace between our people.”
Nyt practically melted when Abby touched behind her ear. She leaned into Abby as a cat would. "That makes sense." She purred. "I get it. We tried to wipe out your species. You have every right to be afraid."
Caleb nodded. "I acted similarly when I found Abby. Well, except for the whole 'I'm gonna kill her thing,'. Abby actually took off her mask to convince me."
Peter was completely confused, watching the interaction between Abby and the Alien. He nodded to Caleb, ”Yeah, she mentioned that. But while we're on that subject; why did you try to do that? And what the hell is going on between you two right now?”
Nyt just leaned into Abby more and purred. She was in pure bliss.
"She's literally melting into you. The f*ck?" Mark asked, also confused by Abby's and Nyt's actions.
"Actually this is new for me too. What is going on?" Caleb asked.
Abby chuckled turning a bit red. ”It’s cute, huh?” She decided to stop for now. ”According to Nyt, it's a sign of trust to let another touch your ears. What she didn't say was how much she enjoys it.” She giggled.
"It feels great." Nyt said, still leaning against her.
A smile crept across Calebs face. "So she's like a cat?" He asked.
Abby smiles broadly with a slight shrug. ”Yeah, more or less.”
”What the actual… I can't… I have no words for any of this right now.” Peter dropped his head into his hands as if fighting a headache.
Caleb laughed. "That's cute" he cooed.
"Shut it, Caleb." Nyt pointing at him, but not moving from her position.
Mark sat there in deep thought.
Abby giggles. ”I know! You should see her ears turn gray.” She manages to stop laughing but still smiles, snuggling against her side. ”Aw, Nyt, it's ok. We're done teasing.”
"Abby!" Nyt whined. "You don't need to tell them that."
Caleb chuckled.
”Can I help that you're so adorable when you blush?” Abby smiled, forgetting for a moment that others could hear.
Peter’s head snapped up and gave everyone in the room a ”What the hell” look.
Nyt's ears flushed a light grey. "Abby!" She said. She pulled her onto her to try to cover herself.
"What's with that look?" Caleb asked Peter.
”The look is because when I woke up this morning I never thought in a million years I would ever see a human flirting with a real-life Alien! Tv shows and movies never prepared me for the real thing.” Peter explained with a note of exasperation.
Abby blushed fiercely at hearing Peter’s comment. ”I’m sorry. I wasn't thinking. I didn't mean to make anyone uncomfortable.” She somehow managed to keep her voice at an audible level.
"It's fine," Nyt mumbled into Abby's back.
Mark nodded at Peter's comment. "Not what I expected when I came here either."
Caleb just snickered. "I expected something to happen just not this."
Still red-faced, Abby managed a warning glare. ”Shut up, Caleb.”
”Do I want to know what you expected?” Peter asked hesitantly.
"Me strangling her?" Nyt joked, lazily laying her tail over Abby's neck.
"Why should I?" Caleb teased.
Peter immediately stiffened at Nyt’s playful gesture, still not fully trusting her, while Abby was completely unfazed by it. She actually rolled her eyes, chuckling a bit.
”Because, Caleb, if Nyt wasn't restraining me I would beat you five ways to Sunday.”
"In that case, thank you Nyt," Caleb said, with a wink.
Nyt chuckled and pretended to tip a hat. "And calm down Peter. I'm not going to hurt any of you unless you ask for it."
