They walked like that for almost rest of the way, with Andra trailing behind. It seemed to Azura that Farron didn’t care as much about what his mother thought anymore, which was to her relief.
Every step she took seemed to weigh her down at least ten more pounds.
Soon the bustle from the town could be heard the buildings were able to be seen. People were chatting and laughing as it seemed some sort of event was going on.
Azura squinted from a distance as she tried to figure out what was going on. Apparently, there was some sort of event going on? She couldn’t see anything that gave her a hint as to what they were celebrating for. She turned to Farron.
“What do you think is going on over there?”
Farron shrugged a shoulder, "No idea… let's go find out then, eh?"
The three of them approached the town, and by the time they got there, it was dark. There were lanterns everywhere: in hands, over doors, on strings all over the place. People were trading items, dancing, and having a good time. The whole thing was really quite beautiful.
Farron looked around, curious. He looked to Azura then to the festival, finding a discarded lantern and holding it up.
“Wow,” Azura said in a hushed tone. “This is fantastic.” She absentmindedly reached for Farron’s hand and gave it a squeeze.
Farron smiled softly down at her, squeezing her hand back before holding the lantern a little higher, “Yeah… it really is.”
Azura tugged Farron into the direction of the library. At the moment, she had completely forgotten about Andra. “Let’s see if we can find Lynn!”
Farron chuckled, following her and giving her a bigger smile, "Alright then sunshine."
Azura made her way through the crowds, gripping Farron’s hand in anticipation. She had gotten a few ideas on what to do in town, but most of them had to do with ditching Andra. Andra, who was not in her line of sight at the moment. Had she disappeared? Azura looked around as she kept walking.
Andra seemed to have disappeared completely, though her son didn't seem to care, to focused on trying to find Lyn then anything else. He made sure to keep Azura at his side at all times, not wanting them to separate and get lost.
Azura nudged Farron. “Where’s your mother?” She said in a low tone. She was starting to panic; now she was at a disadvantage, again. Maybe she could go in the library and see if Andra would follow.
Farron looked to Azura, then around the area and frowned, "I… I'm not sure…" He mumbled.
She didn’t voice her concerns; instead she continued to pull him down the street, on a careful lookout. It seemed like she was gone, but Azura knew better than to think she wasn’t around them. Andra was probably either watching them, or meeting up with someone else. Azura could feel it.
Farron could feel the tension radiating off of Azura, though he didn't comment. He knew there was something going on and he wanted to know what but didn't dare ask, yet.
After another moment of looking around, Azura ducked inside the library. She hoped Lynn would be there. Her hand reached the bell and hit it about five times.
Farron chuckled quietly, "There's only a need to hit it once, sunshine."
She huffed, but didn’t reply. She just waited for Lynn. Nothing. She hoped she wasn’t at the parade.
Farron raised a brow at her, frowning just a little. He was going to get to the bottom of what was bothering her.
She pounded her hand on the bell a few more times, and to her relief, a lanky figure came tumbling out of the back.
“Sorry, sorry,” she muttered, and collected a few papers that had drifted out of her hands. She adjusted her glasses and smiled when she realized it was Azura.
“Hi! You’re back early!”
Farron walked over to her, offering her a hand with the papers, "Yeah, trip took quicker then expected."
Azura went over to pick up the ones Lynn had dropped. “Yep. We’re headed back to Rosgard now.” She pointed to something on the table in the room that Lynn just came out of. “Guys, come here, look!”
Once they came in the room, she shut the door and whispered in Lynn’s ear, “in case we’re being watched.”
Farron sighed, "Is there anyone else in the library right now? Besides us?"
Lynn widened her eyes at them. “I don’t know, is there?” She whispered.
Azura put a hand on her arm. “I’m not saying there is, I’m just taking safety precautions.” She noticed another door on the opposite side of the room. “Does that go outside?” She whispered. Lynn nodded.
“Then one of you can go out and see if anyone is in the front, listening. Preferably you, Lynn, since you haven’t been with us the whole time. Look around for anything suspicious.”
