Andra frowned, clearly not happy with the idea, "We should be getting back to Rosguard as soon as possible, though. If anyone was following us surely they would have caught up in the night?"
Andra frowned, clearly not happy with the idea, "We should be getting back to Rosguard as soon as possible, though. If anyone was following us surely they would have caught up in the night?"
“Maybe, but maybe not. And a few days won’t hurt anybody. None of us have any pressing matters to attend to there.”
Andra opened her mouth to respond before she closed it, frowning, "Yes. You're right." she looked mad though she tried to hide it and even Farron noticed something was wrong.
Azura smiled a slightly smug smile. “Well, I guess it’s settled then, so let’s go.”
She picked up the last of her things and made her way to the edge of the camp, waiting on the mother and son. “I supposed we should find food as well,” she spoke up. “I’m a bit hungry.”
"Me too," Farron replied, walking into step beside her, "Should we hunt something or get something when we're in town?
“I don’t know, it’s up to you,” she replied with a shrug. Then she turned to Andra and squinted so only she could see. “You and your mother, that is. What would you like to do, Andra?”
Andra's fists clenched at her sides but she forced herself to relax, "When we're in town. The quicker we get there the better."
“Hm? Why the rush?” Azura replied smoothly. She was happy to see that she was getting under Andras skin.
“No reason,” She muttered, “Let’s just get going.”
“Well obviously there’s a reason. Why don’t you want to tell us?” She replied, her voice slightly rising.
Farron placed a hand on Azura's shoulder but kept quiet. Andra glared, "There is no reason so stop trying to create drama when there isn't any."
Azura’s face darkened, but she kept her composure. Fortunately, it took a lot for her to lose her composure.
“Fine then. I’m staying there until I find out what this is really about. Because I will not have you messing thing up any more than necessary.” She said in a lower voice. Her pastel hair swayed down to her face as she took a heavy step.
How dare Andra accuse her of starting drama. How dare she act so innocent and unbothered. Every time she spoke, Azura had the urge to smack her so hard, her jaw unhinged.
Farron gently took Azura's hand in her own, "Alright ladies, let's get going." He said gently, tugging slightly on the Princess's hand.
Azura turned when Farron pulled her arm, so he could see the expression she had on her face that was directed towards Andra. She wiped it off her face quickly, but apparently, not quick enough.
Farron gave Azura a we’ll talk about this later look before he tugged on her hand again and started walking. His mind was racing and he knew anyone who looked at him could tell.
Azura cringed when she saw the look on Farron’s face. She had tried so hard not to give him too much to worry about, yet here he was, troubled about something. About her.
Farron gave Azura’s hand a small squeeze. He’d be okay when he had answers, whenever the hell that would be.
Timeskip: 2 days later
They had been traveling for two days, mostly because of how many breaks they had taken. Azura was determined to slow Andra down as much as she could, and the annoyance was becoming more and more visible on Andra’s face. The young girl had acted like she was tired quite a few times when she was actually perfectly fine. They ended up hunting in the woods despite Andra's suggestion, and Azura made sure to take her time with that too. She was actually an excellent shot, and could hit a rabbit with ease, but she kept missing. Honestly, she was enjoying this little game; Andra was fun to annoy. But eventually, they could see smoke rising from a distance, and Azura knew they had come to the small town they were looking for.
Farron had been on a constant state of confusion the entirety of the two days. He kept catching the glares and annoyance Azura was through his mother's way but couldn't figure out why. He was also wondering why his mother was acting so strange. The smoke sent a wave of relief washing over him, glad to finally be able to reach the destination. Farron knew that Azura had been stalling and was going to ask why as soon as they had some time alone.
She smiled and ran towards the smoke. “Yes! Warm beds! I’m so tired!” She jumped and flailed her arms. She had been so ready to just drop on the ground and sleep there.
Farron looked to Azura with probably his first real smile in the past couple days, "We'll be able to rest at the inn for a couple."
Azura let her head fall back a bit as she smiled. The sunset cast a golden light on her whole body, making her hair look a bit of a coral color and her skin a beautiful gold. “Yes, we can rest.”
Farron gave Azura a quick once over and his smile grew just a little, "Rest sounds nice…" He said quietly, looking back towards the village.
“It does, doesn’t it?”
She draped an arm around his shoulder. Goodness she was so tired.
Farron wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her into his side.
