Azura returned the glare, her eyes grey and stormy. Her entire being burned with rage every time this woman made a move. But then she turned to Farron.
Test time, she thought to herself.
"Hey, I know the two of you haven't talked much, so I'm gonna go back to the river we just passed and wash out some of these clothes so you two can catch up." She pressed her hand to his face, then turned and grabbed the bag of clothes and slung them over her shoulder.
Farron leaned into her touch but it was gone before he knew it. He wanted to ask to go with her but decided against it, instead making small, slightly uncomfortable talk with his mother.
Azura kept walking, even though her legs were in so much pain from walking all day. She was doing this for Farron. That was enough to keep her going.
Eventually, the mother and son had set up the little camp. Azura wandered off towards where Azura went and Farron watched the camp, though he eventually nodded off to sleep.
Azura was minding her business, watching the sun go down when she heard a rustle in the bushes. She picked up her sword and waited.
(Yo can you believe we've been doing this rp for like 7 months???)
(Ooft, daaamn, that's a long time. Also I'd like to say sorry that I haven't been responding as often as I'd like. My classes this term are really full on and I have a lot of hands on stuff - art, drama and metal work - so it's hard to get to my phone or something during class)
Azura came out and held up her hands in surrender, "I'm not here to hurt you," She cracked a slightly creepy smile, "Yet, anyway."
(That’s totally fine, nbd. I’ve been stressed with school too.)
Azura snarled at Andras words. She had never before hated someone this much. “What do you want?” She spat.
Andra shrugged a shoulder, "Nothing, I was just… taking a walk."
“And you care here? Why’d you do that. And how come you never want to talk to Farron?”
"Am I not allowed to walk around now? And I did talk to him, but I have my reasons why I don't."
“Well, since you came here,” she replied, already gathering her things, “I’ll go there. To him.”
Although she was angry with this woman, she knew that if something were to happen between them, it should happen in front of Farron. He needed to see what his mother was like.
Andra just waved a little and mock bowed as she left but didn't follow. Farron was still asleep by the time Azura got back. It was clear how heavy exhaustion weighed on his shoulders as he was out cold.
She went over to where he was laid out and rested with her back on a tree near his head. Then she started to play with his messy hair, all the whole thinking about Andra.
If she was being honest with herself, she didn’t trust Andra enough to take her to Rosgard. Something about that seemed strange; Andra was so excited to go. Then again, maybe she just didn’t want to go to Pryvlyn.
Farron leaned more into Azura. His eyes fluttered open for a moment before he closed them, a lazily smile crossing his lips, "Please don't stop what you're doing… it feels nice…" He muttered.
Azura reddened at the sound of his voice.
“Sorry, I didn’t realize. . .” She trailed off. Her face was warm, but she kept doing it anyway.
Farron's smile grew a little and he leaned into her hand every time she touched him, "No need to apologise, sunshine, it's quite alright."
She laughed out loud. “I’m glad you like it so much,” she smiled. Then she rested her head against the tree again.
“I think we should take a detour,” she continued.
"Hm? Why would you think that?" Farron asked, letting his eyes fall shut,
She looked around to make sure Andra wasn’t there, then spoke really low. “Andra is really excited to get to Rosgard; why? Why not Pryvlyn, to see her son again?”
Farron frowned, but he didn't open his eyes, "That… that doesn't make any sense… I mean, she's always been closer to me then my brother but still…"
“Something about it just makes me a bit uncomfortable,” Azura said. “If I am to be queen, I must do what is best for my people, and I think that might be takin a detour.”
"Then I trust you and your judgement. If you think taking a detour will be better then I believe you."
Azura didn't answer, she just stuck her face in his hair and sighed. She had no idea of what Andra wanted, what her goal was. If she had acted normal, she would've gotten to see her family again, and be queen. So what was she running from? What else did she want?
Farron reached up with his hands to wrap them around her neck, running one hand through her hair gently. He knew she was stressed and wanted to help in anyway he could.
