He breathed in deeply and released it slowly and shakily. He held her tightly as if she was going to disappear.
He breathed in deeply and released it slowly and shakily. He held her tightly as if she was going to disappear.
She breathed deep. “I’m here,” she whispered. “I’m not going anywhere.”
He nodded slightly, releasing another long breath.
Then she kissed his lips again. “And you know what else?” She whispered. “I love you.”
A smile graced his lips, kissing her back softly, “I love you so much more…”
“Will you two please go to sleep?” Andra said with a raspy tired voice. “We need to start early tomorrow.”
Farron frowned, “Sure mother…” He muttered.
Azura couldn’t help but shoot her and irritated look. But, since the only light was that of the slew of stars in the sky, Andra couldn’t see her. How come Andra heard them? They were both whispering. Maybe she wasn’t asleep yet.
Andra kept her gaze on Azura for a while longer before she looked away. Farron looked between the two for a moment before focusing on Azura.
In the darkness, all Azura could really see was the outline of Farron’s face and the stars sparkling in his eyes.
“Yeah, I guess we should get some sleep,” she whispered. Then she lowered her voice even more. “We’re going to see Lynn in the morning.”
Farron nodded a little and placed a kiss to her nose, “Got it. I guess we should sleep so we can be at full energy tomorrow.”
TIMESKIP: THE NEXT MORNING
Azura was the first to wake. She carefully slid Farron’s head out of her lap, then stood up and shook some dirt from her clothes. She took a few steps towards her bag, quietly slung it over her shoulder, and made her way to the river to collect the clothes she had washed the night before.
Farron shifted slightly when Azura moved, sighing a little and curling up in the space where she had been. Azura woke not long after that, frowning when she noticed Azura gone.
While she made the short journey to the river, she was thinking about how she was going to smoothly change the plans to making that detour. Andra may have been irritating, but she wasn’t stupid. She would more than likely figure out Azura’s reason for stopping to see Lynn, which would put Azura at a disadvantage because she still don’t know what Andra was up to. She needed to figure that out, and fast.
Andra looked around for Azura but soon realised she was at the river. Deciding this would be the best time to go through their things, hoping to find something that would help her plans.
(Wait is Andra going through her own things or Azuras things?)
(Azuras)
(Ok)
Azura trotted back and forth over the rocks, collecting the clothes she had laid out. She decided to take this time to take a bath too, so she slipped into the river with only her underclothes, leaving the rest on the rocks. The water was too cold for her to stay for long, so she washed herself quickly.
Andra found nothing of interest in Azura's bag and quickly started on Farron's. If her son was like she remembered, then he was a deep sleeper when he wanted to be.
She got back into her clothes and made her way back to the camp, only to spot Andra rummaging through Farron’s bag, her back turned to Azura.
curses, she thought to herself silently. Then she made a loud noise with her sword, hitting it against the tree. Hopefully, that would wake Farron in time to see his mother.
Unfortunately, Andra heard first and quickly shuffled back before Farron could wake. When he didm it was slowly and it took a moment before he could see what his mother was doing.
Azura huffed in obvious frustration, but she limited her words in order to keep herself from saying something she’d regret. “Sorry about that,” she waved her sword a little bit. “But since we’re all up, wanna get going?”
Farron nodded, standing and brushing himself down before smiling at Azura, “Sounds like a good idea.”
She grumbled under her breath. Farron was officially blind. Then she looked over at Andra and smiled a sarcastic smile. “Great then! I collected our clothes,” she held them up. They were clean, dry, and freshly folded. “So we can go ahead and pack up.”
On her way over to her bag, she locked eyes with Andra. They would definitely be discussing this later. Azura began talking when she wasn't facing either one of them. "I thought that it would be really cool to visit a small town that we stopped at a few weeks ago," she said nonchalantly. "I met some nice people there, and no one would follow us if we did. It'd get anyone that might be following us off our tail."
