(Hi @Carrots I was just wondering if you were ready to continue now)
(If you want we can go ahead and tie all the loose ends, ya know, finish the story now, then be done with the rp. If it's getting to be too much for you i totally understand, although we dont have to stop if you dont want to)
(No no, I do want to do this RP but I've been really busy the past few days. I had sports day yesterday and I'm going to busy this weekend, too. It's really bad timing, I know, but I don't want this to die)
The men gave up a pretty good fight, and it was easy to see they were skilled and trained fighters, but their cockiness got the better of them. The man Andra was fighting was down soon enough and she took on another straight after.
(Okay, YAAAAAY bc I like this RP a lot, and I don’t want it to end either!!! And we’re just entering the last quarter of the school year so I’ve got lots of work to do too)
Azura snatched one mans sword from him using a technique she learned long ago, then flipped him onto the ground.
“That takes care of ‘em,” she said to Andra, then looked around with something to tie them up with. Azura picked up a spare piece of rope and put the men up agains a wide tree, then tied a very difficult knot to undo.
Andra made sure to double an triple check the knot. Once she was sure they weren't going to escape, she looked to Azura, "Let's go get my son."
They took off together, both going as fast as they could without tiring themselves out. Azura was getting increasingly nervous with every step: what if Farron had needed their help sooner?
Farron and Sarge had mostly been conversing, trying to distract the other for long enough so that help would arrive for one of them. Only when Sarge got bored of waiting, he had initiated an attack, a hand to hand battle. Unfortunately, Farron was loosing.
Azura and Andra burst out of the woods near the barn to see what had become of Farron. To their dismay, he was being cornered by Sarge behind the barn. Azura didn't waste time helping him, and she drew her sword and pointed it squarely into Sarge's back.
Sarge didn't even budge, just smirked a little. He had people who could finish his work if he was dead, his boss would find someone to replace him, it didn't matter if he died. In a split second decision, he stabbed Farron the sword luckily missed everything vital, though.
“No!” Azura screamed. She stabbed Sarge through the back and yanked the sword out, piercing him again. Then she ran over to Farron’s side and threw herself down on the ground. Her face was twisted in agony, as if it was her that had been stabbed.
Sarge fell to the floor, bleeding out and soon after his consciousness leaving him completely. Farron let out a huffed laugh, "Take that dumbass…" He muttered.
"Shhh, don't talk," she frantically looked around for something to bandage Farron's side. "We need to get you to town. Lets go," She said, and helped him up.
Farron groaned in pain as she helped him stand, one hand going to his wound and blood instantly coating it, "I… I'm fine."
“No, you aren’t,” Azura said through clenched teeth. “I shouldn’t have pointed that sword in his back, then you would be ok,” she said, mostly to herself. This whole trip, she seemed to be the one that was putting her all into giving Faron what he needed. But she still failed?
“Azura, I’ve had worse, trust me,” Farron released a breath before shaking his head slightly, “I’m fine… thank-you, though. For everything you’ve done for me.”
She didn't reply to his thank you, she only kept telling him to be careful. But she stepped out of the way and walked a bit behind Farron and his mother to let them catch up.
Farron couldn't talk much to his mother who seemed annoyed at that but didn't comment on it too much as they walked. He just wanted to talk and to hold Azura right then.
Azura was busy thinking about what they would do next. Apparently, Farron's mother wasn't as excited to see Farron as she had thought she would be. Actually, that whole ordeal was a bit strange: wouldn't a mother and son be ecstatic to see each other if they were ripped apart years before? And their lack of excitement raised another question: would Andra be willing to help her go back to her kingdom like Farron was?
After a while of slightly awkward silence, Andra walked ahead of the two to make sure it was safe and Farron let out a slightly relieved breath. What was wrong with him?
(Man I'm so confused at Andra rn…… btw you guys are doing great!!!)
(Thanks Joy!)
When Andra left Farron to walk by himself, Azura was a bit irritated. But she didn't say anything then, mostly for Farron's sake, since she knew how much pain he was already in. She ran ahead a few paces to catch up with Farron, then picked up his arm and slung it over her shoulder.
Farron gave Andra a small squeeze in a silent thank-you and also kissed the top of her head lightly. His emotions were running wild but what he did know was that he would forever be grateful and love Azura and what she had done for him.
Azura blushed and hugged Farron, burying her face in his shoulder. What she couldn’t understand was why Andra would leave him to fend for himself. Something seemed odd about this whole thing, and her heart went out to Farron. He was the only person she had ever really loved. Her parents didn’t return any care, and Farron had been her only friend. And now, seeing him as vulnerable as he was, she was so grateful to have someone she cared about so much.
Farron rested his chin atop her head for a few moments, just taking in her scent before he lifted his head when it became uncomfortable to walk. His mother wasn't the same as she was, he always knew she wouldn't be but something felt off about the whole thing. It made his gut twist uncomfortably and he didn't like it.
