"Oh god!" Danny says, jumping back behind his Scythe. "C' mon man! Walk up to us at least. What's the big deal?" Danny chuckled at one of his own thoughts. "I haven't gotten in this much trouble since a demon took my Scythe."
Hosea didn't laugh, or even smile. "I said let's go," he began almost jogging back towards the woods. "We don't have time for jokes."
"Uh… ok." He said confused, following along as best as he could. He vaulted himself along with his Scythe for more speed. "Do you have time to explain what's going on?"
"Nope," Hosea replied abruptly. Either he really didn't, or he just didn't want to. "Nida if you're coming than you'd better hurry up, and if you're not, than I suggest getting out of this town quickly." He was headed towards the place that he knew Asa was near.
"Well, that's useful. You're acting like there's a nuke in the center of the town square." Danny's face paled and he looked at Hosea. "There isn't a nuke, right?"
"No," Hosea replied. "I don't even know what a nuke is." He spotted Asa and Guinevere, as well as Jameson. Upon spotting Jameson he stopped in his tracks. "Oh, you son of a bitch," his breathed.
"Well, those aren't very nice wor…" He trailed off upon seeing the scene in front of him. "Ah, there's Asa and Guinevere. Why is he here though? He was back there…" He said, pointing to Jameson.
"Oh, it's a cloaking spell, it isn't that good though" Boris explained and push the carriage onto the side of the road. "I just found this on the way but I don't have anything to pull it so… I might have to leave it here"
“Right…” Asa nodded.
“Well if you want something to pull it there are barns which sell horses down the road” he pointed towards the messy road leading to the burnt mansion.
"I guess it could come in handy" Boris rolled out half of his map looking at where the road was leading to. "It's much faster than walking I suppose" He was considering whether he should get a horse or not.
Asa nodded.
“I’ll leave that to you” he eyed his side with the edge of his pupils. Upon spotting Danny and Hosea, he walked towards them.
“What’s up?” He started quietly without a warning.
Jameson immediately stopped and started to cower. "Please! Don't hurt me! This lady is already letting me go! I just want to get my dogs and get out of here!"
Hosea suddenly appeared in front of Jameson, almost in glitch-like fashion. He grabbed Jameson with one hand around the throat and threw him backwards. "I'm gonna give you one chance," he pulled out his short sword and held the tip right to Jameson's throat. "Call them off."
Boris left the area and walked down the road heading for the barn. He didn't want to be involved in anyway as it would only stall his journey
"Who's 'them?!'" Jameson wailed. He decided not to wait for a response, however, as he scrambled to his feet and took off towards the backyard with harnesses and leashes in tow.
Guinevere simply watched from the back of the group. Once Jameson was out of sight, she turned towards Hosea.
"Are we going to put out the rest of this fire or just stand around, blinking at each other?" she asked, hefting her gun onto one shoulder.
“I’ll do the latter of the two. Putting fires out isn’t in my energy range right now.” Danny added, deciding to ignore whatever happened with Hosea and Jameson and what Asa was doing with Boris.
Hosea turned on them his eye glowing dark blue again. "Them is a mob of magic hunters that have been tailing us for several hours now. And they are headed to this town right now. We don't have time to help put out the fires. That mob wouldn't know that we are here if that little weasel hadn't sold out his own kind. We have about two minutes before they get here and trap us here. We gotta go."
Arriving at the barn, Boris looked around to see if anybody was there and if there was anything to pull his carriage he found.
(Sorry had a bunch of work pile up I’m back) Nida had been watching the situation play out good thing she came with them or she probably would of ended up dead
"Listen, maybe where you come from, a mob might be an issue," Guinevere chuckled to Hosea. "However, where I'm from, a mob isn't nearly that bad if you just want to bust through! Or were you planning on very few casualties? In which case, we can escape through the back and into the woods."
She looked around, and something in her mind hit her. "Wait. What happens if they aren't satisfied thinking we got away? What if they destroy the rest of the town looking for us?"
"Then we leave evidence we left. Like how you brought the fake evidence you got us, we leave it going out to the woods." Danny said after some thought from the group.
"Maybe we could make it look like we made a fire or something on the tree line so they see it, then a couple of footsteps heading out before we cover our tracks."
Boris saw a horse, though no one nearby. He felt the horse to see its reaction and was satisfied by it. He leashed the horse and lead it back to his carriage.
"Well, that one guy has a cart," Guinevere said, pointing towards Boris as he began to leash the horse to the carriage. "We could ride that out of town and leave some convincing tracks. Only problem is, what else can we leave to let them know it was us for sure? They don't know who we all are, and I'm not even 'magical' in the traditional sense."
The huntress began to ponder. She could leave empty shells behind, but that would require firing them off and potentially spooking the horse. Asawin could leave some of his feathers behind, but she saw how much pain and bleeding he suffered. If Danny kept tearing off pieces of his cloak, there'd be nothing left for him. What else could they do?
"I'd need to sleep before I could do any magic, so I'm useless in that department," Danny said.
"We could let them see us first maybe? Like, as soon as one of them see us we set off. Asa's wings should be evidence enough they saw the right people. With the carriage and horses and flying, we should be faster than them."
Boris lead the horse to his carriage and attached the leash to it though he hadn't heard the conversation between Guinevere and Danny earlier. He decided to set up a shade for the carriage and fix its wheels
