Veena darted over, dropping to her knees on the other side of the limp Josiah. "What just happened? Why did she just turn around and leave? There is no way Old Lady Markham would ever leave something alone like this?" Her voice was squeaking in panic as her hands fluttered uselessly over Josiah's face. She was even paler than before, something about her form seeming odd.
I have no idea. He said something to her and she just turned around. She looked like she was in a trance or something. And then he just . . . collapsed. I don't . . . what the hell." She turned backwards to face Fallon. "Do you know anything about this?'
(rubs hands together with glee)
(And yes, all of glee were rubbing their hands together as well. We have a secret society, and I am their overlord.)

Crimson was hanging behind all of them, he had gotten a bit lost and just now was catching up. "What happened?" He asked.
(Never fear, you'll always have me here to berate you when you use the wrong 'there' :) )
(I have finally re-entered Crimson.)
"Josiah passed out." Luna was holding on to Josiah's forearm and pressing her fingers to the inside of his wrist to ensure he was in fact just unconscious. "Or . . . not passed out. I don't know. He told Old Lady Markham to leave and she just left. And then. . . . " She gestured to Josiah's collapsed body vaguely.
"Whoa…" Adayu murmured, looking towards the collapsed Josiah. "He just… Collapsed? How weird…"
He looked at Fallon, with curious/questioning eyes. "Is it because of the… You know… The magic you talked about?"
"I've got water if we want to wake him up with that." Crimson offered, holding up one of his waterskins. Who's Old Lady Markham again? He thought with an internal eyebrow raise.
Luna looked up at Veena across Josiah's body. "Do you think that's what happened? Do you think it was magic? No." She shook her head, answering her own question. "Josiah isn't magical. That's silly."
"Is he going to die?!" Veena asked completely ignoring Luna's calm question. Her voice reaching a pitch that was almost painful it was so high. Her panicked hands still fluttered uselessly around the passed out boy. Patting his face and his chest as if it would help any. "Are we all going to die?"
Crimson sighed and uncapped his water, splashing Veena with a bit of water. "Calm down, he's fine. He probably just got a bit dehydrated then passed out. It happens all the time."
Luna let go of Josiah's limp arm and placed her hands on Veena's shoulders. "Stop," she said, staring intently into her panicking eyes. "Its okay. He's not going, you're not going to die, none of us are going to die. We'll be okay." She removed her hands and looked up at Crimson. "Yes, please. He's been unconscious for a while and it's concerning me."
(Fallon should do or say something before Josiah wakes.)

Veena sputtered, wiping the water from her face with a grumbled curse. "This is all so new. Excuse me for feeling less than calm as we run away from home." She stood abruptly, her pale hair seeming to float around her for a moment before settling back onto her shoulders. She 'harrumphed' and stepped away so she wouldn't get splashed again.
(Ooh I like her.)
(I had a mental thought to make her the 'absurd drama queen' of the bunch so we shall see how that works)

Fallon blinked as she was addressed again, pulling herself out of the thoughts swirling through her mind. Magic was right, and some of these kids were more powerful than she had expected. “Holy shit. I haven’t seen anything like that since Port Kenarius.” She said, shaking her head as she walked over to the others. “Try the water. We might honestly just need to let him sleep and carry him with us though. He’s never done that before?”
