(I thought your character had a grandma.)
(He does, I think.)
Being at the back of the group, Adayu was the first one to see the woman behind them. Slightly startled by the tone of the shout, he hurried over and hid behind the group of teenagers, afraid the woman might come for him first.
He looked at her, his face unguarded. “I too fear. But it would not do to show the others. Leaving the home of our youth fills me. It is a mixed drink of heartache and an anxiousness I cannot explain.” He stopped. “And yet,” he said, placing a hand on her shoulder, “I feel a certain lightness. A warmth.” He looked deeply into her eyes, “Surely you feel it too.” And she felt a voice, she knew not from where, urging her to agree, his eyes, gazing piercingly at her, as aloof and powerful as the sun.
" . . . Yes," Luna said slowly. She nodded. "A warmth." The shout startled both the teenagers and Luna unintentionally broke free, turning to look behind her. She moved to stand in front of Adayu. "What do we do?" she muttered to Josiah.
Veena darted out of the woods to stand next to the others. She looked pale, paler than usual actually, the sunlight of the morning seemed to go through her, as she wrung her hands anxiously. "Oh man, we're in so much trouble."
"Should we run?" Luna looked around at her fellow travellers and her gaze finally settled on Fallon. "What do we do?" she asked her. Luna's fists clenched and unclenched at her side.
“Running is the last thing you want to do.” Fallon said, slipping through the teens to place herself at what had been the back, like a barrier. “Just keep going. Going for a little walk!” She called out to the woman, with an odd ease. The absurdity of the obvious lie gave the woman pause, and Fallon motioned for the group to keep walking.
Luna decided not to question it and kept walking as instructed. 'After all,' she reasoned with herself. 'Fallon is from the outside. She knows more than we do.'
Hesitating, Veena looked from Fallon to the old woman and back again. This was not going to end smoothly. She had a feeling deep in her gut that they were going to have to run. Anxiety made Veena hold her breath as she turned back towards the forest again, following Luna quickly.
Josiah stayed at the back. He wasn’t sure what kind of a game Fallon was playing, but he was not so sure it would work. He kept an eye on the younger ones, especially Adayu. But his gaze brushed over Luna. He felt something strange. What had happened? He was almost certain something had happened… He shook his head. No matter. There were more important things at hand.
(Alrighty, I'll just read through it and yeet Crimson in.)
(K)
When Fallon took control of the situation, Adayu felt like they had gotten away with ease. He exhaled in relief, continuing to walk alongside the group, looking forward to the forest before him. He noticed Josiah looking at him and he felt relief. At least someone had his back in case something happened.

(👉😆👉 pew pew)
(Oh jeez I have an idea.)
Josiah walked towards the woman. Almost in a daze. He didn’t know what was happening but he felt the heat in his head dragging him forwards by the prickling feeling in his eyes. Whatever happened he knew it would work. Whatever it was.
He stopped right in front of her.
“Go home,” he said. “Let us go. You never saw us.” He could hardly hear himself speak through the hot pounding in his brain. “Leave,” he mumbled.
The woman turned around, her eyes strangely blank, and shuffled away slowly. Josiah watched her go, dazed. He stood in front of the others until she disappeared from sight.
Then he blacked out.
(There I go, being dramatic Lol.)
(Drama makes things happen)
“Josiah!” Luna ran to her friend as he crumpled to the ground. He was completely limp, nothing but dead weight. She lightly slapped his face a few times but he didn’t stir. His chest was still rising and falling, so at least he wasn’t dead. “What the hell was that?” She didn’t know who she was talking to, but the question needed to be asked.
Jayde saw how Luna was slapping his face, and how it did absolutely nothing to help. "I didn't see anything. Did you?" She responded, looking at their surroundings. It was nothing but trees and more trees, maybe a couple of insects here and there but that was it. "Do you think it has something to do with us leaving?"
Adayu remained in place, still hiding behind one of the older kids, everything had happened so fast he understood nothing. When did they get this far? Where was the village? What was going on?
He was slightly scared, but the forest around him seemed so pretty in his eyes that it calmed him. He loved the beauty of nature hard enough to forget his fears. Instinctively, he reached for his large notebook, but remembering they were still on the road made him stop.
