Luck could just jog down and apologize for being late, but do whatever you think is right))
She hesitated. "But how would you do better?"
“I’m not saying things would be perfect if I were to lead but I’d do my best. I think the most important thing is hearing what the people want. I don’t have the same selfish ambitions that some other rulers do. If you still wish to turn me in then I won’t stop you”
(I'll try then, can someone please summarize what happened?)
((For your part, not much except Dabria woke y’all up and now the three of you are headed towards the stables.
Yep, Dabria knows Kai snuck away and is going after him))

Cassidy looked at the prince. Standing honest and open in front of her. His eyes told her he was telling the truth. She jerked her head. "There's an exit in the back, next to the broom closet. I'll buy you some time."
((I didn’t sneak I ran :)
Wait that made it sound worse, shit))
Cassidy looked at the prince. Standing honest and open in front of her. His eyes told her he was telling the truth. She jerked her head. "There's an exit in the back, next to the broom closet. I'll buy you some time."
“Thank you. I truly do appreciate it” he really had meant every word of it. He just hoped he’d have the chance to put actions to it. He headed back to the exit she’d pointed out, praying the girl wouldn’t be found out.
"Open up in there!" someone outside pounded on the door. "Royal guard, open up!" Cassidy breathed deeply and then steeled herself. "Give me a minute! My arms are full of dishes, learn to wait!" She counted to ten, and then tromped to the door and opened it. Half a dozen armed men stod outside. They pushed in as soon as the door began to open. "Oh don't wait out in the cold," Cassidy said sarcastically. The man who had pounded scowled. "Enough! We are looking for the prince, he has killed his father and must pay the price. Has he entered this building?"
Luck banged into the stables. "DID YOU LEAVE WITHOUT ME- Oh. I'm so sorry! S-sorry." He panted loudly, leaning on his horse for comfort.
Fyn glanced at Luck, rolling his eyes with a small smile "No, we didn't leave without you." He leaned against one of the stables and watched him.
Kai had made it out of the building just in time. He could hear the soldiers’ voices and quietly cast an invisibility spell on himself until he could find somewhere safe.
((Omg Luck is my favorite now
Dabria's eye's flashed dangerously as Luck arrived. "I'll excuse you this time, but I expect more vigilance in the future. We don't have much time, now," She warned. She swung up onto her horse's back and began to lead the way to where she suspected Kai would run to.
I love Luck and once Dabria gets to chill she'll be friends with him I promise))
Fyn followed Dabria's lead, quickly mounting his horse and waiting for her signal. He took his back off from his shoulder and tied it to the back of the saddle before looking around the stable to make sure that he had remembered everything that he wanted to bring.
Luck scrabbled onto Charming, a huge, muscular red beast everyone else was afraid of. "I'm really sorry, your highness." He pet Charming repeatedly as he trailed Dabria's horse.
(Arghhhh now I have to gooooo pretty please won't you not get far without me?)
Okay))
Once 42 posts we can continue))
Cassidy rolled her eyes. "I barely let you in, why would I let in a total stranger in the dead of night?" She jerked her head toward the tables. "But, you're already here, how about some ale before you go and look for him? Half price and I have the best."
The Guard liked his lips. "Alright then, one tankard, then we'll be off. And make it snappy girl."
She rolled her eyes again but went behind the counter for the ale. She just hoped she was giving the runaway prince time enough to escape. She took the ale back to the men in one trip, a feat very few would be able to manage, but they just grabbed the tankards without so much as thanks. She sighed in annoyance and grabbed the mop again, cleaning up the mud from the soldier's boots.
"Oi! What's this then?" One of the men had gone behind the counter to look for more ale and he was staring at the floor. Cassidy realized in horror that she hadn't cleaned up the prince's footprints. "Oh, my boyfriend was here earlier, he was helping me with the dishes but he left a while ago." The lead guard went and inspected the muddy prints. "This mud is fresh you dirty little liar!" he roared, hitting her across the face. "Where'd the prince go?" Cassidy reeled from the blow. She looked into the Guards eyes. 'Not. telling." She spat. He yelled in frustration and the last thing Cassidy saw was his sword come free from its scabbard and the hilt plunge toward her head before a blinding pain and then black.
He’d made it a good distance away from the main part of the town, sticking to areas that wouldn’t leave footprints. Now he stood perched on the roof of an old barn.
Cassidy slowly opened her eyes to fire flickering in her face. She screamed and sat bolt upright. The men were gone, and the whole tavern was in flames. Cassidy struggled to get to her feet, coughing from the thick smoke. She staggered through the fire until she reached the bar counter. She clutched at it for support, but quickly let go as the burning wood registered with her nerves. She cried out in pain, and slowly stumbled to the back door, her head throbbing so bad that bile rose up in her throat. Finally she reached the exit and yanked open the door. She heard the building groan and tremble and she flung herself out the door into the grass just as the whole building collapsed on itself.
