Luck gulped but followed close behind.
Luck gulped but followed close behind.
Cassidy whirled around and saw a woman in armor approaching, but she was still too angry to think rationally. "What? What could you possibly want right now? My life is already in shambles, why can't people just leave me in peace? I won't be able to answer any questions, no I don't know where the missing prince is, just ask the men who burned down my tavern."
Kai heard the sound of raised voices somewhere nearby. It might’ve been the people sent after him earlier. However, there were no lanterns in sight, and the voices sounded distinctly human.
Dabria's mouth formed an o before clearing her throat. "We're not after the prince to kill him. I'm Princess Dabria, his friend. If you've suffered from the people who are after him, I feel it is my responsibility to assist you, if you will assist us in finding him. We have rations and clothing," Dabria said, gesturing at the three knights leading their horses and her own horse, "You can ride with me."
Cassidy looked carefully at the woman in front of her. "No offense, but you could just as easily be lying to me, like the men who claimed to be apart of the royal guard. And I just risked my life to save the ungrateful princes butt, and so I don't feel like throwing that all away by potentially helping people out to kill him."
((I’m just observing this with interest -w-
(Lol)
Dabria nodded with understanding. "Thank you so much for helping Kai. He's in such a mess right now with his brother after him, I don't know where it all went wrong. Yashiro seemed like a kind boy when we were all young." She smiled wistfully. "Would you perhaps trust me more if I showed you the crest of Hiyaup only royalty carry, or would that prove nothing?"
She looked at the woman in front of her with a new curiosity. "Alright, let me see it."
((Aaaahhhhhh how do you guys write so much I need to catch up quickly before your on page 36!!))
(ikr)
Lol sorry))
Dabria held out her right hand, signet ring glinting in the moonlight with the crest of Hiyaup, an eagle with wings spread and an arrow horizontal behind it, on her ring finger. "Are you convinced?"
Cassidy hesitated and then nodded. "Okay, I believe you. But if I were you, I'd search on foot. If he's hiding, there are a ton of fallen trees and hollows that will work. And splitting up wouldn't be a bad idea either."
((Lol I love how Kai’s so close but not close enough to hear exactly what they’re saying
The princess let out a breath. The woman was telling the truth. "Thank you." She turned to call to the knights. "Tie up the horses and get your bags. We will be traveling on foot, and collecting horses later." Dabria turned back to the woman. "Could I know your name," She asked, holding out a hand to shake.
(Igtg eat dinner, I'll be back within an hour.)
((Have fun
She smiled. "I'm Cassidy." She shook the princess's hand. It was calloused and sturdy. She liked that. 'And for the record, I'm tracking down the prince because I'm furious with him."
Okay))
(cue sad piano music)
Luck opened his mouth in horror. Leave Charm. Travelling through the dark forest. On foot. He turned solemnly to his looming horse. "I guess this is farewell then, dear friend. I shall see you in the afterlife." He tied Charming to a tiny sapling, picked up his bag, and trudged away as Charming pulled at the rope, a heartbroken expression on their faces.
Dabria grinned and let out a small laugh. "Honestly, who isn't?" She turned and retrieved her bag off of her horse, patting its nose. "Oh, yes. I almost forgot. This is Carrey, Luck, and Fyn," She introduced, gesturing to each knight as she said their names. "They may not be the best knights, but they're loyal." She rolled her eyes at Luck. "We will be coming back."
((Oof you don’t need to tell them to their face Dab XD
Dab says get rekkkktttt sonssss))
((Dab says I’ll insult you right to your face and you can’t do anything about it
