Khasar watched as the knights ran past upon their mounts and into the night. He stepped out of the darkness, giving a soft huff. The male's tail lashed to the side. His yellow eyes seemed to swirl to blood red, but then returned back to their yellow glow again. Instead, Khasar simply shook his head, chuckling softly under his breath.
"Oh you simple fools. Lead us to the lost lamb, so that the wolves may have a feast."
The male disappeared back into the darkness. He headed back towards the giant stone walls of the castle. Morning would soon be upon them, and the hunt would start. As Khasar entered, the few servants around instantly scattered before him. His tail trailed behind him as he made his way down the corridors, soon entering the massive dining hall. At the front of the table, sat the young prince Yashiro.
Yashiro had gotten dressed in something comfortable. He came to pause in the mirror, icy eyes staring back at him. Though in the mirror, there was a black mass right behind him. The prince jerked his head back, to only see nothing there. He quickly looked back to the mirror, nothing out of place.
"I-I can't handle this…I n-need to stop thinking t-t-that…"
The prince took a breath. He took a faded blue ribbon from the dresser. Yashiro ran his fingers along the old piece of cloth, it being a loving reminder of his deceased mother. He stared at it for several moments, then finally moved his hands, tying his hair into a low ponytail with it. His feet swiftly carried him out of his room and down the castle halls.
Yashiro entered the dining hall, food placed before him. Yet, he barely touched anything. His eyes lifted as he heard someone enter. The prince was getting ready to scorn whoever dared to disturb him, but was instead with the cloaked form of Khasar. Khasar was perhaps the only one who could get away with barging and entering without the Prince's permission.
The dark male approached, giving a slight bow, then sitting down in a seat on the side of Yashiro. Khasar nonchalantly grabbed a large prime steak, tearing into it without any silverware. Now, most people would be appalled by such table manners, but Yashiro was never bothered by the other's table manners. That, or he was too afraid to say anything…
Khasar quickly downed the cooked meat, forked tongue slipping out, and running across his lips. He gave a satisfied 'prrum', shifting his yellow eyes towards the prince. His tail gave a lazy twitch, being in a completely relaxed state.
"You haven't touched a thing young prince. You really should eat before we take to the skies."
Yashiro simply pushed his plate away. His form was slumped in the chair. The male released a sigh, partially closing his eyes. The Prince was tired, the nightmares keeping him up at night.
He settled his arms on the table, "I'll pack something when we go out searching…until then I just need to think…"
Khasar gave the prince his soft, gentle smile, though it be fake, "Of course my Prince. I shall be waiting for you outside whenever you are ready."
Then without another word, Khasar stood up again. He gave Yashiro a small bow, then left.
Fyn grinned, "I'm Fyn," he shook her hand and nodded "So, what exactly are we doing again? I kinda zoned out.."
(So So sorry guys! I forgot and went right to sleep.)
Cassidy looked at him skeptically. "We're looking for the prince and splitting up."
(I have to drive to school, I'll be back in 30 once I'm there)
"Cool," He looked around and nodded again, a small grin on his face.
Dabria gave Cassidy an apologetic smile and set out, Carrot and Luck on her tail. She decided to go back to the outer edges of the forest, and kept watch of every crook and cranny they walked by.
They were splitting up. He knew he had to move, they’d find him eventually, he might as well ambush them first. They were pretty loud so he decided not to use a silencing spell. He carefully made his way over to a thick tree branch nearby.
Cassidy drew her dagger and led Fyn through the underbrush. She was glad for the knight behind her with his heavy sword, but she winced every time he stepped on a branch. She kept low, scanning the undergrowth for any sign of the idiotic prince.
(please excuse me if I'm having too much fun writing about Luck XD)
Luck was practically breathing down Dabria's neck. They were going to die. They were so going to die. Somebody was going to scream in exactly three seconds, he could feel it.
Kai began to follow after one of the groups (Dabria’s group). There were three of them, two knights and someone leading at the front who he couldn’t identify. He’d have to take one of them, and figure out whose side they were really on.
Cassidy's frustration was growing by the minute. Why am I even helping this arrogant dolt? she asked herself. Oh yeah. Because his brother is an evil psychopath.
Carrot was on lucks heels and luck was on dabria’s heels they were like dominos waiting to fall.
This might be difficult…he knew something but it’d use quite a bit of mana. He had no other choice. He whispered the incantation, a spell that’d turn him and anyone else he touched invisible. He quietly snuck down to the forest floor. Now to decide who to take.
Luck counted down mentally. He took a deep breath and gazed at the sky in preparation for his death.
Dabria stopped moving abruptly and the two knights slammed into her back. She turned around, brow twitching in agitation. "Aren't you two supposed to be knights? Back up, jeez."
Carrot took a few very large steps back bet then stepped closer toward Luck.
Cassidy crawled out from under a tree and glanced at Fyn as she pushed to her feet. "What's his brother like?" she asked.
He shrugged, "Don't know, I'm usually supposed to guard the treasury or weapons. I don't know much about the prince besides that he's crazy and doesn't like his brother."
"But the arrogant jerk we're looking for now is better than his brother, right?" Cassidy spluttered as she walked through a spiderweb. She angrily pulled it off of her face and kept searching.
((Can Someone in Dabria’s group conveniently slow down or fall behind. Besides Dab.
"Um, sorry." Luck took ten steps back from Dabria. Three. Two. One.
He barely made a sound as he made his way closer to his target. When he was just an inch behind him he quickly put a hand over his mouth to keep him quiet. The instant he touched him, Luck would’ve turned invisible.
Luck screamed loudly but was silenced by the hand clamped over his mouth. He struggled, whimpering, but he was dragged away from his group.
Dabria kept walking, but after a minute noticed the sounds of three pairs of feet turned to two. She turned around immediately to find that Luck had suddenly gone missing. "Oh, god, what now? I swear if Kai is the one who has grabbed him…" She started muttering curses, "Anyway it means he's close by."
