"O-oh okay." Nanie stood there confused, but wandered off to find Prince Ren. Ever since she started working here she's had a bit of a crush on him, even if she knew he was probably going to end up with princess Fay. Nanie thought it was unfair for them to have an arranged marriage. And why couldn't royalty fall in love and marry commoners. "Poor Prince Ren, he probably has someone he loves back home." She sighed and continued looking. "Prince Ren?" She shouted. Nanie got a few looks from some people, but ignored them.
Ellie reached the doors of the throne room, half out of breath, and immediately pulled the door open, not caring if she looked absolutely insane. She payed no attention to any of the guards around the door, either. If she got arrested, it would be worth it.
Everyone's eyes looked towards the door. The King stood confused, he hadn't asked anyone else to join them. "Who are you?" Asked the king his tone a bit threatening. Fay looked over and saw her best friend. But for some reason, she couldn't feel anything her eyes stayed blank. "Guards take her-" Fay stood, making her father stop talking. "I'm sorry. I forgot, I had asked her to check up on something for me and come back immediately." Her eyes moved from her father's to Eillie. The blank stare never changing. "I would also like to make her my personal maid from now on." Then Fay looked to the queen. "Since I will no longer be working as a maid." The room was silent, you could almost see the hatred coming off both Fay and Blair. There was a war going on, and Fay was determined to win. "I see." The king said as he looked at his daughter proudly. She was confident and took charge, this is what he wanted to see in a future ruler. "Since you have moved up then. How about you go get my daughter's soup." He sat down. Fay waved her off with a little wink. Ellie was still her best friend, but she'll have to take to her later about some things needing to change.
Ellie froze, stunned,.before turning abruptly and leaving the room. As she buried to the kitchens, Ellie could feel a panic attack building up, a million what ifs plaguing her. She briefly had to stop, close her eyes, and take several breaths before continuing, her face returning to the mask she'd become accustomed to wearing. She made it to the kitchens and urged the cooks to go faster, earning her fair share of glares. When she'd finally gotten her soup, her hands were trembling so much she nearly spilled it everywhere. She made her way back to the throne room at a snail's pace and this time politely knocked on the door.
"Enter." The King urged. No one, not even the queen was allowed to invite people into the throne room. The guards opened the door, revealing Ellie standing there with soup. Fay smiled and waved her in. She was excited to see Ellie, but she also really wanted that food. She was famished, and if she didn't start eating better and soon she wouldn't have the strength to up hold her plan, well, somewhat of a plan. Fay decided at night when everyone else was asleep, she was going to go see an old friend of hers in town. He was a friend of her moms, well more like he was in love with her mom, but she didn't feel the same way. He was a guard for the castle till he was kicked out for a reason he never told anyone. But Fay knew he was one of the best fighters out there, or at least to her. She was going to do lessons secretly. She needed to build strength and stamina if she was going to stand up to the queen or anyone else. Fay was going to be queen and rule this kingdom, not her father or Blair, not even her brother or sister, no she was going to and she was going to make it better.
Ellie placed the soup on a small table near Fay, gave a tiny curtsey, and headed out of the room. Her arms were wrapped around herself uncomfortably, but she still felt like she was going to throw up.
“Perfect,” Emerald replied softly as they left the inn. The sooner they could find another knight, the better. Each day seemed to bring more and more possibility of getting caught, if Emerald could find the other knights before then… it would be a miracle.
Aurelie led the way, her hand lightly on the hilt of her sword. She seemed to be wandering aimlessly, but she hoped it would work.
(where are they meeting the next knight?)
Fay watched as Ellie walked away. The soup smelt amazing and she wanted to just pig out, but wouldn't dare in front of her father. No, she ate like a princess. "I'm glad to have at least on of my daughters here." Right, her sister was gone. Fay wanted to find a way to get a hold of her and ask why she left. "Father, I've been in the castle a while. May I go for a walk?" The king nodded with a smile. "Of course, I have things to do anyway." Fay finished her soup and stood. She needed to find Ellie. Bowing she left and walked outside. Air, fresh air." She smiled and collapsed to the grass. *I'll find Ellie in a bit. The warmth of the sun and cool breeze felt amazing.
Ren was beginning to wonder where Ellie had gone. What was taking so long? He paced restlessly, running his hair through his hair every so often. Had something gone wrong? What if Ellie got caught, and they had been found out?
Edgar saw the maid calling, he lifted a hand to get her attention, “Yes, madam? What do you need of my prince?”
Aurelie led the way, her hand lightly on the hilt of her sword. She seemed to be wandering aimlessly, but she hoped it would work.
(where are they meeting the next knight?)
(Idk, I figured we could leave that to the other knights to decide if they wanted to(?))
The maid turned and saw an older man. "Um, a girl named Eliie sent me to talk to Prince Ren. Is there anyway I can speak to him?" Nanie smiled at the man. "It's seemed pretty important." Plus, Nanie wanted to see the Prince. She just knew he was going to be handsome. And maybe it will be love at first sight. A forbidden love, how romantic.
(Wait Ren is in the room with the door shut, Edgar was outside and waved her over but didn’t let her in yet)

(I mean I don't have much of a preference, maybe either like in a forest? Or like out buying something? I don't know I'm not high in creativity right now haha)
(Cool!)
Edgar looked the maid over, “My prince gave me specific instructions not to let anyone in, but I shall ask him,” He said gracefully. Edgar turned, knocking twice, and said through the door, “My prince, a maid would like to speak with you. She brings a message from lady Ellie.”
It wasn’t a moment later when Ren opened the door, his hand now a bit disheveled from how many times he’d run his hand through it. He looked to the maid, “Ah, come in, if you would?” He asked, not bothering to speak in his native tongue and wait for Edgar to translate.
He's as handsome as I heard. "Okay." She happily went in. Even with his hair a mess, Nanie was still very attracted to him. "Um, she wanted me to tell you that the princess is in the throne room." Nanie smiled sweetly and tucked some of her curly brown hair behind her ear. "It must be hard being forced to marry someone you don't love." Looking up through her eyelashes, Nanie now had a sad frown on her face. Nanie thought she was a good looking girl, and maybe with some hard work the Prince will fall in love with her.
The princess. In the throne room. His eyes widened abdomen his face shifted into shock and a bit of despair that the princess was close, yet he hadn’t even known. It could’ve easily been mistaken that he was in despair about the princess in general. “Uh, yeah,” Ren agreed absentmindedly, his mind to focused on reforming his plans to find Fay rather than the maid in front of him.
(Tbh a small part of me kinda wants him to end up falling for the maid lol)
(Samee I ship them. My sis gonna be lonely XD)
(They can totally be shipped. I was going to make her a main character because I have ideas for the story, and I sort of need her.)
(Lol, awesome, but a heads up he’s prolly gonna not like her and still like Fay for a bit though in the beginning)

Nanie was tapping her fingers together when she looked at the Prince. "You know Ren " She froze and cleared her throat, "I mean Prince Ren. I could probably get you close to the princess, I mean, I am one of her maids." If Nanie could spend just ten more minutes with him she would. Nanie was a hopeless romantic, and ever since she was young she's heard stories of Prince Ren, and now he was right here, in front of her. "If you want my help that is." But she also didn't want to come off as annoying.
Ren shook his head, “No, thank you for the information but I have Edgar to assist-“ Edgar cleared his throat from the doorway, and Ren frowned, “What?” He hissed at his translator.
“My prince, we have gone over this. Though I will keep you safe, I will not assist in helping you with this plan of yours,” Edgar said firmly. Ren gave him a look of annoyance before he sighed.
Ren looked back at the maid, “Okay. I do want your help. It’s important that I need to talk with Princess Freya.”
"Yay!" Unintentionally Nanie jumped up and clapped her hands like an excited child, as soon as she noticed though she stopped and bowed. "I mean, of course." She started walking to the door and as she passed the older man she bowed and continued. Her hands were nicely folded in front of her and she stood tall. She had to hold herself like this so she wasn't looked down upon by the other maids. In her head though, she was slowly freaking out. I'm with Prince Ren! No, be calm Nanie, mother has taught you be be a lady in these kinds of situations. "I will lead you to the throne room." *In hoping I don't get turned away, She thought.
Ellie made her way outside extremely quickly. Fresh air might do her some good. She leaned against the wall as soon as she got outside, breathing heavily. As soon as she'd gotten enough air, she decided to walk around, looking up at the sky. At least that hasn't changed. Still a wide expanse of - "Fa - Freya?" She asked confusedly, suddenly spotting the girl on the grass. Why would she be outside? Real royals didn't go outside unless it was necessary.
Full name: Nanee Valentine
Nickname (if any):
Age: 15
Shipping?: Hell yes!
Powers: (Only Ahti has powers, and the Knights with their magical weapons.)
Personality: Is pretty weird. Hopeless romantic, tends to be a bit ditzy and in her own world, but is fairly confident and can stand up for herself when needed. Her and princess butt heads a lot since they are really different. Unlike Fay, Nanee is more girly and isn't very strong. She's stubborn like Fay though. But isn't as hot headed. She is usually calm in stressful situations. And doesn't give up easily.
