“Better than a dead end” Vincent commented as he headed for the stairs.
Upon arriving on the first floor, his eyes glowed a silver hue again as he looked down at the floor. There was a very faint, almost invisible trail of blood on the floor which lead outside the palace.
Luc slipped on some gloves from his bag, humming a bit, still frowning. He followed the other, not saying a word. At least I have my gloves and a knife, I have a scapel and apron somewhere in my bag…
As Vincent got outside, his eyes locked onto a single position; the grouping of trees outside. He touched his earpiece.
“This is V speaking, is A here…?” he waited a bit for the answer before his earpiece shook a bit.
“Alright, just don’t kill him okay? He is not gonna be happy if you do…” Vincent ended as he unsheathed his dagger.
His turned back towards the shadowy trees and revealed a silver colored figure.
“See that? That’s our man…” he fidgeted with his dagger.
"Do you want me to talk to him and you detain?" Luc asked, cracking his neck. This was more what he was used to, easier too.
“That would be just perfect and in case he really tries to escape—“ Vincent pointed upwards where one shadowy figure hung to the side of the building holding a sniper and aiming at the silvery figure “—we’ve got company”
He started to make his way towards the figure in the woods silently. Getting close to him, Vincent held his dagger to the figure’s neck.
“Freeze” he spoke out loud as the figure turned around in shock with nowhere to run. They did not have a Selas badge on but rather a Qiryu coat.

"Probably reverse time or something powerful like that. But if I were one of the royals, there's no doubt I'd want him as one of my knights. The alive version of him of course"
Quebec ended with a chuckle, he didn't take the murder case seriously.
“Well, I mean… you’re definitely right in that sense” Matthew commented with a chuckle as well. He set the letter down.
“Your room looks better than mine, mine’s like… all white and scarlet colored” he brought up as he looked around the Aquarius’ room.
"I haven't payed much attention to the decorations. As long as the bed is comfortable, I'm fine with living here"
Quebec laughed at rested on his bed
, Of course, it was a Qiryu. Luc sighed and released the gas, a layer of calm but brutal honestly surrounded the figure. "Who are you? Why did you kill that person? What was your goal?"
“Well sorry for being difficult” Matthew laughed a bit and sat down on the edge of the bed. He stared at the furnitures, one at a time before he stood up.
“Well, I’ll be heading back to my room n—“ a knock came from outside Quebec’s room.
“The name’s Alex, a bounty hunter from Qiryu. I was hired by a Knight from Selas though I don’t know his name. I don’t know why but after they told me to kill using the weapons in the armory, they gave me the key to the room and as soon as I opened the door, the key disappeared and I killed him when he was reading a letter” he was spewing out the answers as fast as thunder and he was stressing out. He covered his mouth but he already answered all the questions Lucisan asked so far.
Luc nodded and committed the others answers to memory. He tilted his head towards Vincent. "Any other questions you want me to ask him? It'll only work if I ask them." Luc hummed, eyes still trained on the killer.
Vincent nodded subtly.
“I need more information on the Knight’s physical feature” he answered.
The Alex struggled to get out of Vincent’s grasp only resulting in the agent to press him against the tree even harder.
"Information on the knight's physical features," Luc growled at the figure. "Now. And don't try to say it was concealed by a mask or anything else." He fixed his gloves, somehow making the gesture threatening.
The figure flinched before answering…
“Black hair, green eyes, taller than I am… t-that is all I remember” he answered.
"Good, now what punishment do you think you deserve, Alex?" Luc hummed, raising an eyebrow as he spoke. His family always believed that the punishment would usually be decided by the criminal, with some added from the punisher of course.
Alex stuttered before his mouth started to move on its own…
“W-Well… I did kill a man… I suppose it’s fair if I go out the same way…” he spoke with sweat down his face.
Vincent paused a bit before he turned to Lucisan.
“My friend’s who on the building requested the kill, he’s from Phastia so, you know, sinful spirits are quite a big deal for them” he brought up, still holding Alex against the tree.
"Should we bring this man to him or take care of him here? I do have a few knives in my bag." Luc brushed some dirt off his pants.
“Just move a bit to the right, he requested” Vincent continued, tilting his head in that specific direction. “Three steps”
"Move or I make you admit every secret you made while a teen." Luc said pointedly to Alex, you wouldn't believe what kind of motivation that was.
Alex had his hands in the air and moved as Vincent said.
There was an opening behind Alex. The other agent in the call with Vincent could now see him clearly.
As Alex blinked, a bullet passed right through his skull and sunk deep into the dirt. The figure’s head bursted before their body fell horizontally onto the ground. The agent from Phastia walked to Lucisan and Vincent.
“Thank you for the kill” he smiled as his blue eyes flashed at Alex’s motionless body. A blue gas came from the body and the agent absorbed it.
“Feels good eh?” Vincent asked.
“Definitely” the Phastia agent answered, strapping their rifle to their back.
“Now to find the one who hired the poor man” Vincent mentioned as he turned back towards the palace.
Luc just waved hello to the new figure and basically downed the rest of his coffee. "Alrighty, let's get this shit show on the road."
The Phastia agent waved in return.
“Name’s Azure” the man introduced shortly.
“You know who he i—“
“Of course, who wouldn’t?” Azure answered almost immediately before pulling their scarf down.
“I saw a black haired dude walking on the third floor where I was but I didn’t see his eyes. He went into the Crux room” Azure mentioned.
“Alright, let’s see if he’s our man” Vincent started back towards the palace.
"Heard that name before…" Luc muttered, thinking that Issac had probably mentioned it. *Can't remember the context in which it was spoken though…"
Upon arriving in front of the palace, the agents both stopped. They paused a bit before turning behind them.
“Yes, V is speaking, what’s the problem D1?” Vincent asked as he listened. When the other one on the call finished, Azure unstrapped his rifle and ran further away from the palace, knelt down and aimed up.
“Alright…” Vincent turned to Lucisan “…the culprit’s trying to escape”
