She sat down after rolling it up “it doesn’t feel as bad as last night”

"That could be a good thing…" Tolkalee crouched next her examining it. "Or it could be a bad thing." He began unwrapping the wound and replacing the bandages. An odd look on his face.

“What?”

He glanced at her. "I think it's safe to say that it's not the ladder of the two. It seems to be healing nicely. We just have to give it a day or two to really see if it's improving," he decided after a moment. Seth walked in with two plates of some toasted bread and two glasses of water.
"Breakfast is going to be small today, I don't have to many supplies up here," he explained handing them each a plate.

“Thanks”she took the plate and started to eat

Tolkalee finished re-wrapping her leg and stood up with his plate taking a few bite of his food.

She took a few minutes to eat and stood up and finished packing up “are you both ready to go”

Seth was by the door reading a book, he glanced up. "Yeah, I think so," he sighed. "Yo Tolk grab me my horn would you." From the door way of another room an object flew through the air. Seth caught it with out looking up from his book. "Thanks."
Tolkalee walked out and pulled his back pack on. "Alright let's go."

“Yup”she started heading over to the door

Tolkalee went out first clearing a path for them in the four feet of snow that had accumulated over night, literally. Seth waited for Kat to go so he could take the rear. Not because he didn't trust her, or because he thought she couldn't handle herself. But because she was injured and he wanted to make sure not to over work her, or let her fall behind.

She walked out following tolkalee in the deep snow

Seth followed slowly, closing the cabin door. Then he shifted his backpack to fit right and followed after them. Likely, the next time they came out here, this cabin would be nothing but rubble. He looked back hoping the two girls would be okay.

She looked back “are you okay”

"Yeah," Seth answered still looking at the cabin. Then he turned and began walking with them towards the forest below. "I'm fine."

Even though her leg hurt she was still able to keep pace

Tolkalee was doing his best to create a path that they could travel through. Soon they noticed that the snow was visibly lower. As in down to their knees instead of their waists.

“Finally it’s getting easier” she said with relief

Tolkalee looked back and smiled. "Agreed." Seth suddenly looked back and froze.

She turned to “what?”

Over the hill behind them came a rapid steady movement. Seth was backing up slowly. Tolkalee grabbed Kat's hand and began pulling her back. "Run!" Seth turned and began sprinting through the snow. Tolkalee pulled Kat with him as he began running as well. The scorpion herd had caught up.

She started to run as well the adrenaline saved her from the pain but her vision started to turn red

Amana sighed. "We'd better help."

She spoke hurriedly “is there anything they are especially weak to”

Seth had taken the lead but suddenly came to a screeching halt. In front of him was a huge glacier. Tolkalee stopped and pulled out his bow. Drawing back an arrow that had a rope tied to it. Letting it fly, he turned and began firing at the scorpions. Seth pulled the rope tight. He grabbed Kat and righted the rope around her. "We're gonna jump, okay?"

“That’s fine” she sounded a bit worried
