Seth gave her a look of gratitude as he took the bread from her. While Tolkalee walked across the room to get some things. He pulled some herbs out of a cupboard and began mixing them together. "Can I ask you to take a seat so I can administer the disinfectant without making a huge mess," he asked kindly to Kat.
“Sure” she stood up and sat down in the chair
He walked over with a small dish of a paste, and step to work on her leg. He pulled off the temporary bandages and examined the wound. It was fairly deep, and had likely hit one of her veins, but it wasn't likely to kill her. So long as Tolkalee didn't let it get infected. He realized a little to late that he'd made an uncertain face as he'd been assessing the injury.
(Do we wanna continue this?)
(Yep sorry a bunch of work piled up I just Finished it)
“ what’s wrong.”
Tolkalee glanced up at her. "Nothing, I've seen worse." He was lieing, he had seen worse before, but it wasn't nothing.
She looked at him unconvinced she ate a piece of bread and put the rest of it her bag “if anyone wants bread just tell me”
"He knows what he's doing," Seth tried reassuring her quietly.
"Seth could you get me some warm water please," Tolkalee said as he began gently rubbing the disinfectant into the wound.
“So there is only slight chance I’ll die” she said jokingly
"There is no chance," Tolkalee reassured her. "I'm to stubborn to let that happen. And I'm willing to bet you are to."
"And I've seen worse," Tolkalee began wrapping the wound.
“So where are you planning to go next?”
"Currently, we're headed for the valley. The kingdom there is under attack and we were sent to back them up. We'll be heading down the mountain to the forest tomorrow," Seth explained. He seemed more relaxed, and open now.
“Great it’s fine with both of you that I come along right”
"Oh, that's not necessar-"
"It's fine," Seth interrupted Tolkalee. Giving him a hard look, then turning back to Kat. "We would very much appreciate your help."
“Thank you I promise I won’t be a problem or slow you down”
Tolkalee was looking at Seth with annoyance, but replaced it with a smile. "You know it would probably be better if you came with us anyway. I'll be able to keep an eye on that wound better," he shrugged. After he was done he stood up, picked up his things, and began putting things away. After Tolk was out of ear shot, Seth sat down by the fire again.
"How long have you had the curse?" he asked in a low voice.
“Always when I first appeared in my village they said I had it at first they had no idea it was a curse”
"I want to help you," Seth looked at her. "Will you let me?"
Tolkalee glanced back at Seth while he talked with Kat. Then he turned to the other two that were there. "You know," he looked down at what he was doing. "You would probably have a lot more fun fighting people, than you would scorpions," he commented.
“Sure. i could ask the king if he recognizes The runes at all”
Seth nodded, he picked up a log and placed it in the fire. "He might know, I've met him before, he's quite knowledge able."
“Thank you again for letting me come with you”
"It's not a problem, we could honestly use the help, and company." Seth gave a small smile. It was the first one he'd given since Kat arrived.
