"I'm……not sure, to be honest," he said staring out of the window with emotionless eyes. It was like he turned into a robot.

She tugged a hand through her hair, unfolding her legs to stand up off the couch. Sitting still was even harder during times like this, when she felt helpless. As she paced around the lab, her eyes landed on one of the suits being fixed up, and a idea sparked in her mind.
"Could you get me a slice of pizza while you're up?" he asked, gesturing towards the box that was just out of his reach.
She blinked a few times, nodding. "Yeah." She grabbed the pizza box, pulling out a slice of the topping less piza and handing it to him.
"Thanks," he said, taking a bite from the side of it. "What are you doing?"
"Thinking." She said, setting the box back down as her eyes went back to the suit.
"About what?" he asked, taking another bite of the pizza. He was just trying to find something to distract himself.
"I might not be able to build you a new suit super fast." She started, shoving things around to grab a normal notebook, flipping it open and searching for a pen. "But I can alter a spare hella quick." That way, if you decide on going after him, I know you're a bit safer.
"Do you need any help?" he asked, standing up and looking over her hsoulder as she wrote.
"Yeah. That measuring tape is somewhere around here," She waved vaguely in the direction of a few desks and tables. "I'm going to need it."
He looked around the desks, finding it after a few minutes and tossing it over to her, finishing off the pizza as he walked back to where she stood.
"Okay, arms up best you can, your injured arm is excluded from this." She instructed, using the pen to keep her hair up in a messy bun as she set the notebook down and unrolled the tape measure a few inches.
"It's fine," he insisted, raising both of his arms up. His sling laid a few feet from the loveseat, resting in a wringled hump.
"Klaus, you couldn't move it half an hour ago. Don't hurt yourself." She shot him a look, wrapping the measuring tape around first his waist, then his chest.
Klaus ignored her warning as he watched her work. "Why are you doing this if it's an alternate suit?"
"To make adjustments where they're needed." Peggy explained, moving on to his arms. She didn't write down any of the measurements, because she knew she didn't need to. "And when I make the actual suit, it'll be good to already have them."
"Alright," he said, shrugging as she stretched to measure his arms. "Do you need me to crouch, or what?"
"You calling me short?" She raised an eyebrow at him, looking more amused than offended.
"Yes," he said, smiling slightly. When she reached up once again, he chose to wrap her up in a hug, impeding her measurements.
"Klaus!" She exclaimed, holding the measuring tape out of the way. "I was doing something!" She returned the hug anyway, resting her good arm over his good shoulder.
"So you want me to stop hugging you?" he asked, raising an eyebrow down at her.
"I never said that…" She huffed, wrinkling her nose at him.
He couldn't help but smile as he leaned down and planted a kiss on the top of her head. Physical affection was something new to him, but he felt like he was learning pretty fast.
Her cheeks reddened at the affection, and she pulled her bottom lip in between her teeth, the corners of her mouth turning up.
"I don't think we're gonna get much work done today," he admitted, smiling at her unabashly.
