"A pun's a pun, whether accidental or not." She pointed out, grinning. "And there's no such thing as too much metal. Unless you're fighting Magneto."

He patted her stomach absetmindedly. "You learned that the hard way."
She wrinkled her nose, raising an eyebrow at the way he patted her stomach, but didn't say anything about it. "Yeah, yeah. I thought it was already a well known fact that I'm stupid?"
He tilted his head, pretending to think muse on the thought. "Well….when you put it like that….."
(How should we make this smooch happen?)
((Hmmm….well, she'd have to sit up or something, because kissing someone who's laying their head in your lap is hard as is, but even harder when you factor in the gunshot and her broken arm…she could get up to get the pizza, for that part?))
She rolled her eyes, a smile tugging at her lips. "Oh, shut up. It's been established that you're the smart one, and I'm the charming, good looking and slightly stupid one."
"So you're calling me ugly and off-putting?" he challenged, pulling his arm from her stomach and booping her on the nose.
"Maybe I am." She crossed her eyes in an attempt to look down at his finger, sticking her tongue out. "What are you gonna do about it?" Her phone buzzed with the alert for the pizza, and she rolled off the couch, standing up. "Hold that thought."
(What if they just kinda make eye contact and it's natural at that point?)
"I will be awaiting your arrival," he said, taking the oppertunity to stretch his legs out across the entirety of the couch.
((Works for me.))
She rolled her eyes, huffing a laugh as she grabbed her jacket on her way to the elevator to dig around her pockets. "If I'm not back in three minutes, the pizza guy killed me." She called, stepping into the elevator.
"You will be morned," he called to her just before the doors closed. Then he was left with an intense feeling of…..hm. He'd never felt anything like this before. It was like there was something missing in the room. Like it was too empty. It left him hugging himself with his good hand and frowning sadly. Feelings were weird.
Peggy payed as quickly as she could, barely sparing the delivery guy a second look as she handed him the wad of cash in trade for the pizza. Oddly, she missed Klaus's face already. She hummed to herself as she stepped back into the elevator, foot tapping as she watched the numbers go higher. "Honey, I'm hooome~" She sing-songed once the doors opened into the lab, opening the pizza box as she picked her way through the mess of furniture and equipment.
Klaus perked his head up but didn't say a word. Oddly, he felt himself at a loss for them. He had nothing witty or sarcastic to respond with. Instead, his heart was racing a mile a minute as his gaze landed on Peggy's face, and he couldn't look away even if he tried. It was like her eyes had a magnetic pull to them, like a black hole.
Peggy dropped the pizza box onto one of the tables closest to the couch, before looking over at Klaus. She blinked, a bit startled to find him already looking at her. She'd taken another step closer to him before she'd even registered the movement, pulling her bottom lip in between her teeth.
He felt like his body was moving in slow motion as he twisted off of the couch and got to his feet, facing Peggy with a star-struck look in his eye. She, he thought for the first time, is the most beautiful girl I've ever met. He took another step closer, reaching his arm out to take her good hand.
Her eyes flickered down to his hand as she interlaced their fingers, a small smile flickering onto her lips as she looked back up at him. The look in his eyes was yet again startling, as she'd never quite had anyone look at her like that, that was for sure. She closed the distance with another step, quirking an eyebrow at him. Your move.
(I forgot how tall she is, imao)
((5'6))
He didn't need another sign. That last little bit of space was closed in an instant as he gently cupped her cheek with his right hand and leaned in. Their lips had barely touched before his heart went haywire, nearly beating out of his chest as he tilted his head to deepen the kiss, his hand dropping down to her waist.
((https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h2ymJcCwS_s I'm just gonna start sending you songs I like now.))
She carefully rested the hand of her not-so-great arm on his chest, eyes fluttering shut as she pressed happily into the kiss. The butterflies were replaced by fireworks, and she smiled into the kiss.
After a few more moments, he pulled away just enough to find some air to breath, but still close enough that their noses were barely a sliver away from touching. Klaus figured she would love it if he had said something witty or smart-ass like, but all he could say was, "Wow." And that summed up the entire interaction perfectly.
Peggy blinked a few times, huffing a laugh as his response registered in her mind. "Wow is right." She said softly, lifting her eyes to his. She bit her bottom lip, a grin threatening to take over her expression.
"I don't….I mean……." he frowned as he tried to find the right words. The kiss still had him disoriented enough that his mind struggled to stay on one thought. "What just happened?"
She snorted, bumping his nose with her own before pulling back a bit. "You just kissed me, Klaus. And I kissed you back. Need a second?"
"A second kiss, maybe," he said, recovering just enough for his saracasm to return and a small smile to begin growing on his face.
