Essar nodded and led his daughter down a corridor.
Essar nodded and led his daughter down a corridor.
Shiloh found the cell and pounded on the door three times. "Hello?! Move to the side of the room!"
Teela was curled up in a corner. She lifted her head, pain pounding through her head as she did so. "Who's there?" She called out weakly.
"Move out of the way!" Shiloh repeated, setting a charge on the door that would take it off its hinges. The charge went off and the door slammed into the opposite wall, away from Teela. Shiloh rushed in and looked around, spotting Teela and running over to her. "I'm here to help you escape. I'm with Essar."
Teela gasped. "Essar!? Here?" She tried to stand up but her feet gave out from under her.
Shiloh quickly caught her. "Take it easy. And yes. We have to hurry. Can you walk?"
Teela nodded. "Lead the way."
Elias moved the ship to a clearing, that was close to the tower. "Hey 5, can you maybe, possibly, give me an estimate on how long we have on this asteroid before it kinda explodes? I need to know…"
Hi-5 stood still a couple of minutes before answering him. "I would say 20 minutes at the most."
Shiloh quickly lead Teela out of the door, looking back every few strides to help Teela along. "Hurry, we don't have much time," she urged. She turned a corner and ran smack into-
Estelle jumped, only sending more pain through her shoulder. She backed away from the figure only to realize it was-
"Estelle?"
"Shiloh!"
"Your shoulder," Shiloh observed quickly.
"No time!" Estelle insisted. "We have to get off of this asteroid, now!"
Elias slammed his hands down on the controls. "Frost!" He snatched his com link from his belt. "Shiloh, you only have 20 minutes. Get out of there as fast as you can. Are Estelle and Kula with you? Because they didn't come to the ship. They both ran off in the direction of the tower…"
Shiloh listened to Elias. Her heart dropped. "Kula's not with you?"
Elias' com link crackled. He heard Shiloh. "No… Kula isn't with us. She ran off in the direction of the tower, after I took Winter."
Teela blinked. "Who's this?"
"She's uh- uh- uh- a friend," Shiloh explained to Teela.
Estelle waved painfully.
"Estelle, quickly, take Teela to the ship. As fast as you can," Shiloh instructed. Into her com link, she said, "Elias, bring the ship over to the entrance of the fortress!"
Essar and Wreyna had made it back to the ship. "Where's Shiloh and Teela?" He asked.
Elias heard Shiloh over the com again. "Not to worry Shiloh, I'm already here. Bring everyone back to the ship. Oh, and please be quiet. Winter is asleep… She is recovering from a blaster wound…" He turned to Essar. "They are still in the tower. Leave the child with me and go get them. Plus, Kula is in that building, and no one knows where she is at…"
Estelle nodded. She looked at Teela. "Let's hurry!" she said. Her shoulder burned, but she ignored it and began leading the way.
Shiloh turned and ran back through the crumbling fortress. "Kula!!!??!?"
Elias knelt down to the child. He lowered his voice. "Hello. I'm Elias. Don't be scared. I'm nice compared to what people see…"
Wreyna smiled nervously, glancing at Essar. Essar quickly knelt down next to Wreyna. "He's a friend of mine. You can trust him." Wreyna nodded. Essar stood up and rushed back out to the base.
Estelle and Teela reached the ship.
Elias looked at Essar as he ran off. Then his gaze went back to the child. "So, kid, what's your name? I'm from Hoth. This is why I look so big and scary. My armor is made of ice. You can touch it if you want…"
(Brb, I gotta go home.)
Wreyna reached out and tentatively touched his armor. "I'm Wreyna." She said softly.
Essar stopped briefly, staring at Teela. "Teela…" He whispered. She stared at him. "Essar…" She said softly.
The ground shook violently again. Estelle grabbed Teela's wrist with her injured arm and stumbled for the ship. "You can reunite in safety, come on!" she pleaded.
