@ElderGod-Winter-The-Renegade-Legionnaire book
(Hello?)
(Hello?)
Estelle looked hazily to where she heard Winter's voice coming from. "R-Really?"
Winter looked at Estelle. “Yes I could knock you out. All I have to do is touch your wrist. All you would feel is cold, but it’s a small price to pay, for you to be out of pain. All you have to do is tell me you want me to do it…”
"Uh… s-sure," Estelle conceded.
Winter nodded. She grabbed Estelle's wrist, and let her eyes glow, letting a blast of cold go through her fingers. Estelle's body went limp. Winter mused to herself. "Alright, let's get started. Whoa this shoulder looks rough…" She grabbed bandages, and grabbed a few bacta patches. She started cleaning the wound, and picked little bits of rock, and dirt out. Winter cleaned the wound until she was satisfied with her work. "Now that looks better. Now to wrap it…" Winter quietly hummed to herself, it was an old tune, and it was of her people. She covered the wound with the bacta patches, and wrapped the bandages around Estelle's shoulder. Winter smiled to herself. "Now Estelle, it's time for you to wake up. Here we go…" Winter placed her fingers on Estelle's temples, and removed the cold that she had put there.
Estelle woke with a start. The first thing she noticed was that her shoulder had gone from a screaming, burning sensation to a pulsing throb. She looked at Winter and smiled a little. "Thank you."
Winter nodded. “You’re welcome. Now, I need to get back to Elias. Essar’s probably gonna need some help to get Elias to move. He’s exhausted. And I need to check on Kula. Shiloh still probably hasn’t left her side…”
Estelle nodded. "Do what you need to do. Don't worry about me, I'll be fine."
Winter was right. Shiloh hadn't left Kula's side, but now she was sleeping out of pure exhaustion, her forehead pressed on the table and her hand still tight around Kula's.
Winter smiled. She walked out of the medical room. Considering that she had almost died earlier, she was feeling pretty good, beside the fact that she hadn't slept in two days. Sure, she caught a nap, but it didn't help much. She went over to the table where Kula was. Winter ran a hand through her own hair, exhaustion finally catching up to her. She moved Shiloh's head, to where it would be in a more comfortable position. Winter went back into the girl's bunk room, and came back with a blanket that she had gotten off of her bed. She wrapped it around Shiloh's shoulders. Winter stood up finally satisfied with her work. She looked at Essar. "Do you need any help with Elias? I know he's like a wampa right now, big and scary, and not wanting to move, but if you need me, I can help. Or, if you can handle frost boy, how about I'll take little miss precious and put her to bed. She'll be safe with me. I'm sure you and your wife have a lot of catching up to do…" As Winter gestured over to Wreyna when she mentioned little miss precious.
Estelle tried to stand up using the wall.
Winter glanced at Elias and chuckled to herself. "He looks so adorable when he's sleeping…"
Estelle gritted her teeth. Just because Winter had made the pain significantly less, doesn't mean that it was perfectly fine again.
(Lavender?)
(She's not on rn)
(We neeeeed her…)
(I'm back!)
(She's heeeeere!)
Essar nodded, noting that Wreyna was starting to nod off. "Okay." Teela was silent, eyes flicking about the ship, taking in Essar's crewmates.
Winter faced Essar. She started, "Essar, take good care of that frost boy. He means everything to me…" She looked over at Elias who was out cold. She smiled, and then squatted down slowly, because of her side, and faced the little girl. "Alright you. Let's get you to bed. Come with Winter so we can go sleep. I bet you haven't slept well in such a long time. As long as you're with me, you'll sleep like a rock. So kid, what do you say? Is it time for sleep? But before you answer that question, how about you give me your name…"
Wreyna glanced at Teels. "You can trust her… right?" Teela asked Essar. Essar nodded. "You can trust Winter." He set down Wreyna. She walked over to Winter. "I'm Wreyna." She murmured.
Winter smiled. "Hi Wreyna, I'm Winter. I'll keep you safe. Have you ever heard of how safe you are when you sleep with a wookie in the room with you? Well, I may not be as big as a wookie, but I guarantee you'll be just as safe…" Winter looked back over at Essar. "Now, Essar where does she need to go? I could put her in the girls bunk room, or I can put her wherever you tell me too. It's your decision. But, Elias needs to be moved. He's kinda blocking the doorway…" Winter stifled a giggle. She picked Wreyna up, and was waiting for Essar's response.
"The girls' bunk room should be fine." Essar said, walking over to move Elias.
Winter nodded. She turned her attention back over to Wreyna. "So kid, wanna hear my story? Wanna hear how I blew up a base back on my home planet? When we get you in the room, and we get you tucked in, I'll tell you everything you want to know about me, and that sleeping frost giant over there…" Winter gestured back toward Elias. Then, she picked Wreyna up, and said, "Tell your mom and dad goodnight. We're going to bed. You need your sleep."
"G'night mama. G'night dad." Wreyna muttered, her light pink hair falling into her face.
Winter smiled, thinking of the future. "Alright Wreyna, let's go to bed." Winter wrapped her arms around the small child, and she hoped that she wasn't too cold for the young girl. She nodded at Teela, and walked past her, and took Wreyna back to the girl's bunk room. Winter set her down on the nearest available bed. She tucked Wreyna in, and said very quietly, "So Wreyna, what do you want to know about me? Ask me anything you like."
