"Ayon, please. You have to listen to…" Shiloh trailed off. Her eyes scanned down Kula's body. There were bruises on her arms and legs. Her feelings all melted into one swirling pool of rage. "You beat her. Did you beat her up?" Shiloh shouted.
Ayon shrugged.
"Don't give me that bull!" Shiloh screamed.
"See, this is why I didn't send you on that mission. You're too emotional for the job of an assassin. In other words, I was sparing you," Ayon explained.
Essar stood there unsure of what to do. He could try to shooting Ayon, but he might get Kula.
"Let go of my sister," Shiloh seethed.
"Or, I could teach you a lesson that you never seemed to grasp."
Kula could barely breathe, the knife was so close.
Essar pulled the trigger. He had a clear shot of Ayon's head. There wasn't anytime for this talking.
Ayon gasped and drew the knife quickly through Kula's throat before she fell, lifeless. The blade clattered out of her hand.
"No!" Shiloh said, running over to Kula. She was coughing, causing blood to rush from the wound. "Essar, help!"
Essar dashed over. "Let's get back to the ship!" He cried, trying to stanch the wound.
(CAMIE! WHY??? I LOVED KULA!!! Wait, Elias can heal her!!! Bring her back to the ship! I am not letting go of Kula YET!)
Elias stood up. He still felt shaky from healing Winter, but otherwise he was fine. He was just waiting for Essar, Shiloh, and Kula to get back before they had to take off. Suddenly, he felt as if something had gone horribly wrong. He turned around to see if Winter was ok. She was fine, but she was sitting straight up, with wide eyes. SHe breathlessly said, "Oh maker. Elias something is horribly wrong… I haven't felt this since my people died… Elias, someone we care about is dying, and quickly. We've gotta help. Somehow…" Elias felt it too. It felt like someone had hit him right in the gut. He could barely get out, "It has to be Kula. There is no other way. Essar and Shiloh went back for her…" Winter looked up with tears in her eyes. "Oh maker Elias. She may not make it. You're already weak, and I'm in serious condition…" Elias looked at Winter, with the tears in her eyes. He had a look of resolve on his face. "Winter, I'm going to try. Teela, can you clear this table off? We are about to have a situation on our hands…" Winter stood up. "Elias, that strain is gonna push you to the edge. It may kill you, or put you close to death. I don't want to lose you…" Elias turned toward Winter. "Look, I love you. You know this. But, I'm going to try to save her, and I know I'm going to get pretty close to the edge, and I know that I may not make it. If I don't, I just want you to know that I love you. I love you more than the stars in this universe…" Winter started sobbing. Elias walked over to her and he lifted her face, and kissed her. He mumbled, "I'm gonna try…" Winter muttered, "Ok… Do it…"
Shiloh scooped up her sister. "No, Kula. No, no!"
Teela quickly and shuffled over to a table clearing it off.
"Shiloh, we've gotta go! Can you carry her?" He asked, feeling the ground rumble beneath his feet.
Shiloh nodded. "You go," she said, barely loud enough for him to hear.
"NO, you're coming with me now. This place isn't stable!"
Elias took a deep breath in. "Here goes nothing… Where is Essar? Tell him to bring Kula in now!"
Shiloh swallowed. She couldn't have a breakdown now. "You go first," she said, clearer.
Elias was starting to freak out. "Where are they? I can heal Kula, but she needs to be here now!"
Kula mumbled something incoherent.
"Shiloh, we don't have time to waste! We need to get back to the ship now!"
FOCUS!
"Follow me," she said, running out of the cell, leaving Ayon's body behind.
Winter shakily stood. "Elias, are you sure you can do this?" Elias turned to her and whispered, "No, I'm not. But I guarantee that she'll be better off with me trying, that being left to die!"
Essar followed her. They made their way to the ship.
Winter nodded, trying to hold back her tears. "Ok, fine. What do you need me to do?" Elias sighed. "I need you to almost freeze Kula's blood… That will let me use less energy, and it should speed up the healing process… Should…"
Shiloh reached the ship. "Winter! Elias!"
Essar rushed in. "GET US OUT OF HERE 5!" He shouted. 5 rushed into the cockpit and started the liftoff process.
Elias yelled at Shiloh, "Bring Kula in here, now!" Winter gasped when she saw Kula. "Oh maker… What happened?"
"Ayon…" Shiloh said before her throat squeezed too tight for her to speak. She laid Kula on the table and grabbed her hand tightly.
