"My dad would kill me if I got in trouble now so wanna through bread at birds in the park?" Thea chuckled and looked out a nearby window ans she thought about what she had said
“Sure,” Ever responded, smiling at her, and honestly, he was a bit relieved. “That’s probably better for both of us. Especially since we already kind of snuck out of the party.”
Thea looked down out the window then looked at Ever "What floor is this?" her smile widened
“It’s the first floor,” he responded, raising his eyebrows slightly. “It’s kinda tall though with the high ceilings and all, though. Why?”
Thea opened the window and hopped down "Whee!" she had more adrenaline then ever even if it was just sneaking out with Ever
“Well, we don’t actually know what Persephone thought. We just know what her mother thought. Sometimes the villains we think are villains are just the lonely in disguise.” Lisette absentmindedly twiddle day her thumbs.
"Loneliness doesn't really excuse villainy," Aina answered mildly. "Not that I'm arguing, of course."
“He’s not a villain! He was lonely and nobody wanted to be with him. He drew the short straw and got the underworld. He rules the dead, he doesn’t kill people. That’s a different god. He just wanted somebody to be with him. I forgive him. Besides he better than Zeus. He can’t even keep it in his pants.”
Aina blinked in confusion. "I'm well aware of who Hades is and what his job is, thanks, though. But… you're saying that it's alright that Hades kidnapped Persephone and held her in the Underworld, as long as it's just because he was lonely? I get lonely frequently, but I tend to hug a pillow or compliment a housekeeper, rather than kidnapping people," she offered, shrugging slightly. She didn't want to argue with anyone, but Greek mythology seemed like a safe topic to discuss.
Karina smirked at this. "Does someone have a thing for Hades?" she asked teasingly. In this situation, the older seemed to be acting more like herself. The group felt nice to be a part of. Aside from "Miss Crazy who doesn't like specific kinds or chocolate and likes Hades, the Greek god of the underworld." But she was nice too.
Cosmina giggled, a bit enthralled by the conversation. She’d never really given ancient Greek myths much thought.
Thea opened the window and hopped down "Whee!" she had more adrenaline then ever even if it was just sneaking out with Ever
Ever laughed with a small shake of his head, and followed her out. He landed on his feet (barely) and then shut the window from the outside. “There is a door too, you know,” he teased.
Begrudgingly, Aquila added his two cents to the conversation. “Of course tricking Persephone into staying in the Underworld was wrong… but you’re suggesting that he should’ve merely hugged a pillow for the rest of eternity?”
"No - no, of course not, that was - that was a stupid thing to say," she shook her head at herself. Now that she thought about it, it wasn't like she'd studied moral philosophy; she had no idea what she was talking about.
“It’s just. Persephone did become a queen and Hades was like the only god to keep it in his pants. I mean look at Zeus!” Lisette waved her hands trying to show the others that she had a valid point.
Karina couldn't help but roll her eyes lightly. So obsessed with the sex lives of fake gods. "Can we… you know, not talk about characters having sex?" She asked bluntly. Karina didn't mean to be rude, it was just very odd.
Lisette laughed. “Sorry! That’s just pretty much what they do. Anyway. New topic. Umm. Say one thing about yourself.”
Cosmina giggled, slightly glad that they were moving on. She didn’t know much about the ancient Greek gods. Ever was the expert in geeky knowledge of ancient civilizations in the family.
"Um," Karina started, feeling unsure of what to say. "I like stargazing," she offered. The girl internally slapped herself. That was probably boring to the rest of the group.
Lisettes wanted to talk about the Greek mythology behind them but restrained herself. “What’s your favorite constellation?”
Karina's eyes widened for a moment. She actually wanted to know? "I think it'd probably be Eridanus, second place being Orion," she replied honestly.
“Orion is the one that is supposed to be an archer, right?” Cosmina asked, glancing at Karina. She didn’t exactly stargaze, but she liked to go outside at night when all of the lights were off, and just look at the sky. It was always beautiful in her opinion.
Karina nodded. "A hunter as well, his dogs being Canis Major and Canis Minor," she explained, smiling a bit. It fascinated Karina how the stars could tell stories of the past.
Aina giggled. "You are such a nerd," she informed Karina. "I'm not sure I've told you that enough times."
Karina rolled her eyes. "I don't believe I asked you," she teased, nudging her sister lightly. She let a small smile form on her features anyway.
"At least I have a hobby that doesn't get me into trouble," she added.
"Getting into trouble is the one true joy in life," Aina argued. "Which you would know if you ever came with me to do anything fun."
