Karina gave a quick pat to Salem before standing and walking over to Aquila. Her steps were heavy and she was obviously angry. It made it worse that he didn't even return her gaze. "What is with you?" she asked, voice upset. She waited a moment before continuing. "You were the first person who seemed to care about how I felt and now you're just being a jerk!" She seemed more upset than anything at this point. Alpha and Cassie had made fun of her mother at one point and now Aquila continued looking at her like she was simply the earth beneath his feet. The only one who hadn't said much was Vesper, but he seemed to be following Aquila. It was quite the opposite of how she was usually treated, praised and wanted only because of her parents. Sighing, Karina turned away and began walking along the sidewalk. "I'm going back… since you can't stand to even look at me."
Good, a part of him thought. Fantastic. All his relations were cold now. Abso-freaking-lutely wonderful. “Are you so desperate for attention, that a person who doesn’t think you’re special is a jerk?” he called out. His eyes widened and gut twisted, confusion warring with the dignity in Aquila’s eyes. He opened his mouth to apologize. “I’m sorry I don’t find you the best fucking person on the planet - and the moon - because of your parents.” He didn’t know why he was taunting her. He didn’t know how he’d lost control. He didn’t know anything. At some point, he registered that he was yelling. The remaining ice cream fell into the trash can, and he lifted his incinerating glare to her retreating form. “Your stardamned parents,” he hissed, true hatred laced in his voice. He let the thought slither on the sidewalk and recaptured it, right before it hit Karina.
She simply stopped in her tracks. It wasn't her fault that she didn't know what a friend was like. She only knew fake smiles and false compliments. She thought someone had finally cared about her instead of who she was supposed to be. Karina never liked crying. It made her feel like the weak helpless little princess everyone probably assumed she was. The warm tears came however. They surfaced and fell down her cheeks, a few running over her lips. She bit her bottom lip, almost hard enough for it to bleed. It forced her attention back to the burning anger that was mixed with hurt.
"Are you that stupid?!" Karina asked. Karina still had tears running down her cheeks. Karina couldn't get them to stop. Karina didn't want this.
"I don't expect that out of you. If you had paid attention, you'd know that being treated like that is the thing I hate the most! It's all fake!" she yelled. Karina was shaking, arms wrapped around her to try and stop the tremors. Her nails bit into her flesh, making indents. She stopped there, not allowing the skin to break. Self harm was not the answer. Ever.
"You think it's fun for me to have so many damn expectations for how I'm supposed to be? People only see their own assumption of me and not who I am. Guess I called you accordingly. You're no different," Karina finished. The princess finished.

People only see their own assumption of me and not who I am. "Who are you, then?" he snarled, restraining the voices whispering in his head. She was his nemesis. The princess who had everything easy. Linh Karina was the daughter of murderers, and she was crying. Tears were streaming down her face, and it was heartbreaking, watching her crack, and why was he hurting, watching her hurt, why was it so… "Pathetic." He almost choked as he gulped down the sympathy, forcing out the word. His sandpaper, raspy voice haunted the shattering silence. "You're pathetic. Standing here, whining about how hard you have it." His fingers wound up into tightly clenched fists. For the first time in awhile, the glamour shielding his left eye flickered. Of course, it had no effect on the weeping girl, who had a chip implanted in her to keep her safe. Safe from him, because he was dangerous. "You hate being regarded as perfect, don't you? Oh how dreadful your life must be, the respect, attention, paparazzi, the…" Aquila's eyes darkened, "power. But what do I know? I'm just a stupid, ignorant commoner," he spat.
(I wake up to this and all my brain can do is be so confused lol)
Alpha jumped down and began to run towards the duck pond. But as she ran she didn’t notice the rock, she tripped and fell straight into the pond. “No! My jacket!” She frantically grabbed her leather jacket and threw it on shore then stood up and marched out of the pond, squeezing the water out of her curls.

"Wouldn't you like to know," she growled back, rubbing her tears away. They shouldn't have been wasted on him anyways. Karina glared back at Aquila, though it wasn't as hard as it could be. She felt like a china vase that had just been tossed to the ground, her pieces being brushed up off of the ground only to have them thrown away. She took a breath before turning back around. "Again. I never thought of you that way." Her voice was a quiet whisper as she walked away. Her legs begged to carry her away faster and faster away from the hurt. But no. She was not going to act like his perception of her.
(excuse me while i cry again)
Salem whimpered as Karina left her then went in the way Alpha had following her scent
(ahhhhh Iris, Trix, y'all are breaking my heart for these two characters XD)
Caedmon ran after her, unsure of hoe to help. "Alpha, do you need help?" He asked. He picked up the jacket, and squeezed it to wring the water out.
Salem saw the soaked Alpha and ran to her
Salem made a barking noise to get Alpha's attention
