“It feels like I am.” And I’m close enough, she thought.
(She didn't know that tho)
(and ty)
Caedmon chuckled. "Mm." He replied, and looked up at her. "Where do you want me to take you?" He asked, smiling.
“Wherever you wanna go.” She was happy, but a new kind of happy.
He nodded, and started walking in a random direction, humming softly. "So tell me something. About you." He said.
“Ok- I’ve broken 6 bones, I’ve stopped growing, yes- barely over five feet, I know. And my first names not Alpha- it’s Emilé, but that’s boring so I go with Alpha. Tell me something about you?” She leaned down to peer over his shoulder to catch a glimpse of his expression.
Caedmon nodded. "Well, nice to meet you, Alpha." He replied. "I…have scars from training with my father, as he doesn't believe in taking it wasy, despite my mother worrying about it. I am over six feet tall. I've spent my life traveling between Earth and Luna, since my mother is the ambassador."
“Well- scars make you look tough, believe me- my dad would look like an overgrown bunny if it wasn’t for his scars. But anyway- you said you travel a lot, how many places have you seen? I’ve always wanted to travel the world- but instead I have to help take care of the farm everyday. Which wouldn’t be so bad if I didn’t sunburn easily. I can burn to a crisp in like twenty minutes.” A strand of her red wavy hair fell over her and Caedmons shoulders as a breeze swept through the street.
He chuckled softly. "Well, I've traveled around the entire world. I've seen…Paris, England…" He shrugged. "So many places." He sighed softly.
Alpha imagined what it would be like to go to places like England. “I went to Paris once- a couple hour train ride. les avantages si être français. I’m near places like that. My parents think Paris is good enough. But stars- I want to go to Mars! I want to go everywhere.” Desperation and longing filled Emilés voice as she spoke.

(Ooh yay)
Karina gave a quick pat to Salem before standing and walking over to Aquila. Her steps were heavy and she was obviously angry. It made it worse that he didn't even return her gaze. "What is with you?" she asked, voice upset. She waited a moment before continuing. "You were the first person who seemed to care about how I felt and now you're just being a jerk!" She seemed more upset than anything at this point. Alpha and Cassie had made fun of her mother at one point and now Aquila continued looking at her like she was simply the earth beneath his feet. The only one who hadn't said much was Vesper, but he seemed to be following Aquila. It was quite the opposite of how she was usually treated, praised and wanted only because of her parents. Sighing, Karina turned away and began walking along the sidewalk. "I'm going back… since you can't stand to even look at me."
Good, a part of him thought. Fantastic. All his relations were cold now. Abso-freaking-lutely wonderful. “Are you so desperate for attention, that a person who doesn’t think you’re special is a jerk?” he called out. His eyes widened and gut twisted, confusion warring with the dignity in Aquila’s eyes. He opened his mouth to apologize. “I’m sorry I don’t find you the best fucking person on the planet - and the moon - because of your parents.” He didn’t know why he was taunting her. He didn’t know how he’d lost control. He didn’t know anything. At some point, he registered that he was yelling. The remaining ice cream fell into the trash can, and he lifted his incinerating glare to her retreating form. “Your stardamned parents,” he hissed, true hatred laced in his voice. He let the thought slither on the sidewalk and recaptured it, right before it hit Karina.
Caedmon nodded. "Oh, I see." He replied. "Yeah, traveling is fun, but…" He shrugged slightly. "It's very hard to make friends when you aren't going to be able to see them very often. And it's hard to find a place where you feel like you actually belong."
(Good ness gra cious)
Alpha sat there a moment listening to Caedmons footsteps as she wondered how to answer that. “I never thought of it that way. I’ve always wanted to escape even though I knew I had friends and the same places that I loved. I guess I never realized things like that. But in some ways- if it’s hard to make friends, then it’s harder to lose someone you really care about. And then you’ll never have to feel the pain of losing someone you’ve known forever and it’s like a wake up call. That nothings permanent. Including the people you thought would stay by your side forever.” A single tear slipped down her cheek hitting Caedmons shoulder. “I’m sorry, you don’t wanna hear about that.”
He looked up at her. "No, you're right." He frowned slightly. "I uhm…are you okay? Did I say something wrong? Or…?" He trailed off, chewing on his lip awkwardly. He wasn't good with things like this. Never had been. "Please don't cry." He said slowly.
Alphas voice was quiet, “I’m fine. I’ll be fine. Anyway- let’s talk about something else.”
He nodded slowly. "Uhm…okay." he replied softly, and kept walking. He sighed. "What do you want to talk about instead, then?" He asked.
“Whenever someone asks me that I never know what to talk about- otherwise I’m full of ideas.”
He laughed. "Oh, I see." He replied. "Hmm…" He shrugged slightly, and kept walking around aimlessly.
“What’s your favorite color?”
"Hm…orange. Not like…bright orange, but more of a soft orange." He replied after a moment. "You?"
“Green-blue. Like the color of tropical seas. But it clashes with my hair so I don’t wear a lot of it. And I haven’t found a bracelet in that color- which I’m dying to have- so I can wear the color all the time. If you don’t mind me asking- why orange?”
