(Yeah I guess idk how competent cats are at a month old)
"Come on, let's go get him." Finchsong nudged Doekit and Stagkit to their feet and said goodbye to the other queens.
The snow was falling lightly over the mountain, drifting around the towering rocks and floating into the waterfall. Looking up at the pale blue sky Finchsong ceped her kits close to her, doing her best to shield them form the cold breeze.
A little was off a clumsy brown thing plopped out of the snow like a frog, ever leap it took it just sunk deeper into the snow.
"HE-" The things cried before falling face first in to the snow, "Finchsong!?" Oakleaf cried out, shuffling around with his muzzle pointed to the sky.
"Oakleaf? Is that you?" Finchsong picked up Stagkit, who had faceplanted and was covered in snowflakes. Doekit held onto the white tip of Finchsong's tail, as a fawn would follow the mother's white tail.
"No, its Windstar…" He said sarcastically, bouncing towards her.
Stagkit sniffed curiously at the snow-covered cat while Doekit snuggled further into her mother's side, trying to get warmer.
"Hello." He purred, lifting Stagkit up with his head.
"Well, I can't see very well in this snow!" Finchsong nudged the kits closer to herself. "I wouldn't want to bring these two too close to a strange cat."
"P-Please," He laughed, looking up at her since he was a foot deep in snow, "you know who I am!"
Finchsong rolled her eyes, grabbing onto Oakleaf's scruff and pulling him up out of the snow.
Now, even Doekit's nose was moving around curiously as she tried to move around her mother and see what type of cat was in the snow.
"Hey?!" He coughed as she pulled him out and let him go, "Wow, you're strong…."
"Windclan cats weigh next to nothing." Finchsong shrugged. "You can come up, Doekit. Don't be afraid, this is your father. You know him."
Doekit carefully walked up to the male cat that she was told was her father, with Stagkit right behind her. Unable to resist, she whacked him right on the face with her tail.
"What is it Doekit? Scared of the snow?"
"Hey, don't hit your brother!" Finchsong batted Doekit's ears gently.
"You hit me." Oakleaf purred, looking up at Finchsong, like with your tail, paws, back legs, whole body…"
Flatting her ears, Doekit hisses in pain.
Stagkit turns around, wondering what he did to get whacked by his sister's tail.
"Yeah, but we're not related, and we're both adults. And you were being an imbecile." Finchsong smirked.
He nodded and picked up Stagkit, "C'mon, lets get a move on."
Stagkit meows in protest at being picked up by the scruff of his neck, but Doekit knew not to complain. Being carried by her scruff was much better than having her paws be cold on the entire journey to where ever they were going.
"Alright." Finchsong grabbed Doekit by the scruff and trotted after Oakleaf. She was exhausted and thin, staying in the mountains having taken a toll on her. Nonetheless, she tried her best to keep up and act as though she had gotten a decent amount of sleep.
Soon the swaying rhythm of the cats walking sent both the small kits off to sleep.
"Once at camp," Oakleaf murmured through Stagkits fur, "You'll do all the talking, because right now I'm totally clueless on what we are going to do!"
