"So, Oakleaf. What's the plan? The kits stay with me and my sister takes care of them?"

"Whatever's best," Oakleaf put in, still liking the mud of his fur, "This stuff is nasty!"

Finchsong grimaced, standing up and looking around. "Oakleaf? Where… where are you?" She stumbled in the dark cave, trying to make out the blurry shapes. There was intense pain in her stomach, and she was fairly sure that meant the kits were ready.

(Let me out! This guy smells!) <Heyyyyyyy! You don't smell to good either!>

Oakleaf murmured as he 'slept' in the back of the cave, half-awake and half-asleep he could hardly tell Finchsong was waddling towards him. "Y-Yeeeessss???" He murmured, lifting his head slightly.

"They're… t-the kits are coming, Oakleaf." Finchsong hissed in pain as her kits beat against her insides.

(Get reeeeeeaddddyyyyyyyy!!!!!)<We're cooooommmmminnnnngggggg!!!!!>

Oakleaf, even though he was acting like a slug a second ago, shot up in all his messy glory. "Where is Stoneteller?! We need a healer…" He then stopped and thought for a second, "Oh, that's me…" Allowing her to lean on him he walked Finchsong over to a nest where all the other queens gathered around to help.

Finchsong collapsed onto the nest, looking up at the worried queens. "It's alright. I-I'm going to be just fi- ow!" She tensed up, squeezing her eyes shut in pain and digging her claws into the ground. "Do something, Oakleaf! I can't really help myself at the moment!"

"Well me too!" He muttered, nodding to the other queens for support. He had done this sort of thing many time but now that he knew these where his kits he was freaking out.
